Changing the final battle's music

I want to change the music that's played when I battle Malak. I've searched in the game's foldes and found the file mus_bat_malak.wav. Then I converted the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan (from Episode III) music to .wav format, renamed it to "mus_bat_malak" and put it in the original file's place. However, no music is played when I battle Malak. I've also noticed that my file is much larger than the game's original (40MB to 1.5MB or so).

Where is my mistake?

There's very likely something scripted in a file that tells it to play that file for the battle...did you rename the new music file to exactly match the original music file?

If not, I'm afraid I can't help much.

Yes, I did. I even Ctrl+C-Ctrl+V'ed to make sure it was exactly the same name.

I don't have a clue what else I should do. What I did usually works with every game.

I tried to create a new file, this time changing the frequency (from 44kHz to 22kHz), channels (from stereo to mono) and bits/sample (from 16 bits to 8 bits) to match those of the original file. The file dropped from 40MB to 5MB, but there still is no music when I battle Malak.

Does anybody have any idea where the problem might be?

I tried that, but it didn't work either.

You might want to ask on Teamgizka.org, they're pretty knowledgeable about the game.
