Bastilla's Lightsaber? (spoiler)

It's my 3th time playing through the game now, I just got back from the Leviathan, and I got a new item, Bastilla's Lightsaber.... Never had that before the last times playing...
So does it have any special use or something?

I can't equip it (dunno if Bastilla can cuz she's captured now but I figure she can cuz it would be pretty stupid if she couldn't), and I can't upgrade it...
It's double bladed, and has the same stats as any double bladed lightsaber.
And it seems I can't upgrade it, cuz last time I tried it just dissapeared.
So I don't see why I should prefer this over any other double bladed lightsaber.

So any special use of this item or not?

Maybe its just for show but i've never seen it. Perchance it's a glitch and thats why you cant equip it. What are you playing? Xbox or PC?

I'm playing it on PC
But with the prequisites (or how you spell it) it sais Lightsaber Proficiancy (how you spell that?

) and also Battle Meditation, so probably only Bastilla can use that but she's been captured now so can't test it...

I think it's a glitch. I played kotor several times and never got that item.
You could notice that no matter what weapon you give Bastila before fighting Malak in cutscenes she always has a yellow double bladed lightsaber. Probably you just got the lightsaber from the cutscene somehow - that's why it isn't useable.

Well yeh I thought that might been it too, cuz last few times I played it I always had Bastilla use a double bladed one, but this time she had 2 single bladed ones.
But still, when you get an item shouldnt you be able to do something with it?
Otherwise it's a pretty strange glitch tbh, or am I wrong...

It is really a glitch - you have nothing to do with it.

I had another glitch - almost like yours. You know, that you can imrove HK-47 by talking to him? (spoiler?). And when you "repair" him a bit - he gains some minor improvements. And when the dialog with him is over, the game writes to you a message "Item lost. Item gained."
But noone ever saw these "Items" - they are considered "HK-47 only" and do not show in inventory.

But in my last walkthrough I actually got them. It is an item of sort - you can not equip it anywhere (HK included), and it does not have an icon - just the letters "HK-47".
So I had to carry this item in my inventory - I could not even sell it.
And HK had not got any uprades by the way. (Although the Quest Journal said that he should)

This game is full of glitches, it seems...

Anyway I got Bastilla back now, and she can equip the Lightsaber...
I still can't put gems in it so it's pretty useless but whatever.

Oh and btw, I have 2 Carth's Blasters now... Another glitch I guess

Tho the new one is better than the other...
Wierd glitches...

hey i dunno where u guys got bastila's saber from but i got it after i won the swoop race. when i killed the guys i clicked remains right before i talked to her (bastila). you have to do that i think to get the saber without a glitch because after you talk to her you go back to your hidout.

its not a glitch..its just apart of the game. i have her lightsaber too.
so do the rest of my freinds that play the game. its just apart of the game

i dont know why you cant put gems or crystals to upgrade her lightsaber.
i think thats a glitch
