Well, I've come across a few interesting Viruses. Some that are deadly but still entertaining, and some that are just pure entertainment.
I'll tell you about the funniest one that I have right now and I plan on leaving this virus on my PC for quite some time.
The virus itself downloads random sounds for my computer, could be just a *beep* and then again, it could be something random, AND it doesn't open any windows or programs to play this sound, so anything I'm doing is not interrupted.
Here's where the fun part is. I'm sitting there playing a video game, and I'm almost to the final level of a dungeon. So, I save my game, just to be sure, load my best weapon, and then enter through the door. Almost exactly on que, when the load screen disappears, the last level of said dungeon has the theme song of "Cause everybody was Kung Fu Fighting!"
Scared the crap out of me, but also hilarious.
Anybody got some virus experiences that are just weird or funny?

Before I bought a new computer, I had an old one, a Pentium 2 running Windows 98. 3 years ago, on my Pentium 2, I had this virus which pretty much screwed up my computer and when trying to run an anti-virus scan causes the computer to hang and the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) appear .
Had to reformat the computer as a last resort.

....Well, yes, that's a typical virus, but this is more for viruses that are entertaining. Meh, oh well.

I noticed something unusual in one of my computers (and how could i miss it?! ):
Since a few days ago the impellers randomly turn on...
In about two years they never started and now with CPU 2% and paging file 400MB they make a concert! ... Fun-ny the concert...
I'm not sure it is a virus handywork but how would you explain it?

Not sure if it was a virus, or someone hacked into my computer and did it manually, but here it goes anyhow.
About 2 months after the movie the Matrix came out, I was typing up some work I was doing in excel on making a new gaming system. When, suddenly, black pixels start forming from the top of the screen down, making the screen black when it got to the bottom. Then, I got a message in the top left corner that said "Follow the White Rabbit...." and it locked up.
Umm, when I say "locked up", the power button was even disabled. I had to unplug the machine to get it to shut down. Rebooting didn't work, the machine was shot. I lost about 150 hours worth of work on that one project alone, not to mention everything else we lost on that computer. Which, my parents blamed on me doing it.

Funny stuff Sib .
@Mag: You should blame Rav for that, I bet he had a part to play.
And Mag, I know what you mean about the locked up. A friend and I were... using... a computer in the computer lab while bored, in which we set up having it make weird noise and freeze up. Unfortunately, it snapped and just started beeping non stop. I had to dive round the back to rip out the cable, but then we were sent out regardless .
But as for viruses, nothing for me.

Not that funny I guess, but hey - my virus experience.
Have cleaned stuff of others computers though.

Fiona gave me a Trojan once. Lucky I caught it. (I forgive you, dear Scotswoman)
My father is a CAD drafter, and he got one with a monkey that danced on screen when I was ten, I think. | | |

Odd to get a Trojan from opening an image.

That we both happened to get at the same time and only for that image? Seems like a big coincidence, I thought the popups showed random adverts.

I had one on my old laptop that messed up my keyboard - just kind of jumbled the letters around. That was entertaining for a while as you never knew what you were going to end up typing lol. Of course it did get annoying after a while.

Photobucket works beter.
