| | | Your own personally crafted magical fantasy weapon (spam on subject) Check out any thread about an RPG game, and you'll find plenty of categories in which players do nothing but salivate over the wondrous weapons they can find: "Hey, look at this! A +5 broadsword that also spits acid at ****roaches!" "Well that's nothing! I've found a +8 unholy mace which whistles at babes and randomly changes into dayglo colors!" I've almost come to the conclusion that many adolescents are giong to have their puberty permanently affected by spending so much time oogling faux slaughterware instead of people of the opposite sex.
Be that as it may: if you could get one personally made fantasy weapon all for yourself, with every extra you want put into it, what would it be?

| | Goody-goody, nice-nice!!! I'll have a Holy Hoopak.
It banishes non-prime material plane creatures back to where they belong to.
Permanent sanctuary against evil opponents while I get to tickle them to death.
Has kender-style sack of holding for those trinkets that accidentally find their way in... |

Hmmm, I think I would like a dai-katana that offers me virtual immortality by regenerating my health at a very bogus rate; gives me damage resistance against all physical and magical attacks; increases my strength threefold; is Keen and scores criticals often enough to make my foes run with terror whenever I wield it in combat; inflicts fire, cold, eletrical, acid, and poison damage with every hit; banishes outsiders, elementals, and summoned creatures with a critical hit (which is often as it is Keen ); inflicts double damage upon dragons; and, finally, performs a shiatsu massage upon command.

| | | My ideal fantasy weapons aren't quite so cheesy as Chanak and Scayde's, though they're still pretty cheesy. I wrote a description of the ones I made up in one of the DF character threads,
Ode prefers to use his personally hand-crafted ivory bow, Swansong, in battle. It was enchanted by Beldin when the three SLURRs started travelling together; until then it was simply an ordinary, if exquisitely detailed, longbow. Now the bowstring 'sings' and emits a faint blue glow when drawn, highlighting the intricate carvings on the bow's frame. For some unexplained reason (most likely due to Beldin being a bit drunk when enchanting the bow) Swansong also glows in the presence of mushrooms. Ode has also had the good fortune to inherit a quiver that gives unlimited arrows, which for some reason are all flighted with bright scarlet feathers. Generally the arrows remain in existence after hitting their target, however if the Ode (or whoever holds the quiver at the time) chooses then they can dissolve in a shower of silvery dust. Ode also maintains a steady supply of Arrows of Detonation and Arrows of Dispelling (both types of arrow are manufactured for him by Eerhardt) in case the need for such things arises. He is careful never to go into battle with less than 20 of each kind of arrow in his quiver and ready for use.
On the rare occasion when an enemy gets within striking distance, or when he just feels like it, Ode uses his double-edged long sword Poetic Justice. The sword's blade ignites into blue flame when drawn (Unless Ode wishes otherwise), and makes an eerie whistling noise when wielded in battle. It is at least partially ‘aware’, as if wielded by anyone other than Ode it simply behaves as a normal sword, and it refuses outright to be used against Ode himself, giving any opponent of the ranger who attempts to use the blade against him a severe electric shock for their efforts. The blue flames inflict two random types of elemental damage (fire, cold, lightning, acid, poison, etc) to any opponents the blade hits in combat. Usually, however, Ode just leaves the sword sheathed in the scabbard that hangs from his belt. The sword has been in Ode’s family for generations, however prior to coming into Ode’s possession it hadn’t seen use for many centuries. Poetic Justice is rumoured to be a moonblade, Ode neither denies or encourages this rumour; when asked about the blade's heritage he simply shrugs, or winks if he is in a particularly cheeky mood.
Good ol' SLURRing days...
Though a pair of sai with a decent speed boost and lightning/cold damage (lightning to shock opponents when you block their weapons, cold to make it easier to break those weapons, seeing as sai were primarily weapons-breakers) would be nice, provided they could be enchanted to make them possible to throw and to magically return to one's hand afterwards, in the style of Wulfgar's Aegis-fang. I'd probably name them Death and Rebirth.

| | | I could post a link to the thread covering the staff of the ram +7. With the help of T'l, DW, and Ysh, it was forged into a very powerful item.
