xbox360 vs ps3

anyone following this?

there is a news blurb that ps3 cpu will be 3x as fast as the xbox... can one assume they mean

xbox360 cpu = 3 ghz
ps3 cpu = 9 ghz

???

i didnt even think they had something approaching 9 ghz?

I haven't seen the specs but it probably doesn't mean that PS 3 will have a 9 ghz processor. It is probably that funny math advertisers use to sell products, or that developers use to boast about products. It could just be that the bus speed is 3x faster, or something similar.

okay a blurb on gamespot said the xbox360 might have 3 3.0 ghz processors but another blurb said that the cell is rumored to be 4x or 4.0 ghz...

i guess we'll see....

More importantly, who cares?

Specs of the console won't matter, all depends on which mega corporation (Sony of Microsoft) grab the good game licenses.

Barely any of the "good" game licenses interest me anyway (except Microsofts hold over Bioware )

I can't wait until The Xbox 360 comes out... I read it in a GI mag, There id supposed to be a whole new messload of feats on it.

How big exactly is a "messload"? Is it greater or less than a singular "mess" (as in, "a mess of new feats")?

Well I read that it has been in the process of being made for the last 3 years it is going to be much bigger than the original, there are just to much new feats on it that I can't even post them all.
