I am here (Library internet) after my chess lessons and lightning games on Saturdays and sometimes there are people in browsing the forum, and sometimes there are none. One second they are here, the next they are gone. What the? 
Are the users who go in and out of the Gamebanshee "Speak Your Mind" secretly using the internet at work?
And, can anyone give a crach course on Gamebanshee abbreviations? I know that:
OMG = Oh my God
SYM = Speak your mind
CE = C Elegans
and thats about I can remember.

I know that you have to go into the Posting page and there is something to do with the Poll button at the bottom.

I believe you already asked about abbreviations here and you will find answers there, because I'm too lazy to type them all out 
As for people disappearing... well, if they only have GB in one window, they might be moving between forums, or between SYM and their PM box, so they will still be on GB but won't appear on SYM. Especially if there isn't much happening on SYM, people probably go and check out the other forums. 
Then there are those of us who lurk and don't appear at all... 
Edit: I don't know anything about posting polls, sorry.

I don't know why they bug people so much, they're not actually any different from any other thread... even a pointless poll is no different than a pointless thread. Still, everyone seems to hate them. But @Willa_Ly, if it's for your chewing gum thing, I'm sure nobody would have a problem with it.
