There must be a nickname for people like me......Weasel once called me a supreme lurker, but there must be another name for people like me (and Weasel, and Ned, etc.) who occasionally drop out of sight for a while, then resurface and spam like crazy.
It all started way back in May. I was running through my loft for some reason or other, and tripped over an electric guitar, which for some inexplicable reason my boyfriend had left lying in the middle of the floor in his studio, and I broke my foot. I was so uncomfortable for a while that I spent only the time necessary to do business on the computer and nothing more. No gamebanshee, no games, nada. Finally, I got over that, but then it was summer and I was more into being outside and stuff. What a nice summer it was, too. Not too hot for once! So, not much really happened. I didn't travel anywhere, just went to the Berkshires for a week. I didn't really play any computer games except Warcraft III. My loft is starting to look really cool. I started school at Rutgers (my creative way of getting health insurance), and I am looking forward to being a huge Rutgers football fan, LOL.
Anyway, I miss everybody!!! How are you all? Did you have a good summer?

Hey Gwally - I sure miss you. Guess what I'm taking at Rutgers? Physical Anthropology. I'm going to slowly work my way towards a second degree in anthro.
My boyfriend's daughter moved away from Scottsdale to San Diego! *grin* I'm much more excited about traveling to see them there - great beaches, plus the opportunity to go an a drunken bender in Tijuana. So I guess there will be no July trips to Arizona in the foreseeable future.

Physical Anthropology? Cool! I loved those courses, but I last had them back in the early 80s, so my knowledge is not up to date. I would love to hear what they're teaching these days! 
Will your focus be on Physical Anthropology?

Will your focus be on Physical Anthropology? | Me too - I was telling the professor (she's an archaeologist) that a lot had changed in 20 years - so much more is known about genetics now. I probably will focus on that, due to my background in Biology. Despite all my education, I'm finding out that there's a lot about evolutionary theory I'm amazingly ignorant about.

Life is quite good Since the Spring I have been working in a Socially Responsible Investment firm as a researcher, which has been pretty interesting
It has been on a contract basis, and while my CEO would like to make me full-time it depends on her budget. It is a small start up company so her even getting close to breaking even is quite uncertain. Stiil, I am getting really valuable experience in the process, so that always helps!
