| |  Weeeeee - done :)
Weeeeeeeeeeee - finnaly got my paper handed in today .... 3 months of work into a paper consisting of 101 pages with 420 pages of appendix.
It is our final paper (dissertation) for my education and we made something as technical as a datagateway (with lotta extra stuff, such as lawstuff, administrative components, parsers, autogenerating identificationkeys, hashing etc.) for an IT-company near where I live (big company, very big).
Now we ( me and my partner in "crime") have to defend it the 27/11, and then I'm done .... weeeee.... now to relax, tired of it 
Hope I get a good grade, to keep up my nice average, but it is mostly "fluff", can't shift my average much though.
Now .... I just gotta relax. |

Remember, whatever you do DON'T take a job at the place where you did your thesis. You will end up being 1:st, 2:nd and 3:rd line support for that system until you either die or quit :-)

I hardly remember anything from my Master thesis defence because I was so sleep deprived, but everybody in the audience told me I did very well

It is kinda an empty feeling not haveing much to do at the moment, first time in 3 months where I'm not thinking in various system-diagrams or bits and bytes. Quote: Originally posted by Silur

We didn't have time to complete the full system, but the size of it was to large. But we did make some various conclusions that they might be able to use.
Without getting to techincal - we didn't have time to make the system multiple-user (was our goal that it could support 100 simultanious users withouth any significant loss of response time)
But I wouldn't mind getting a job out at that company - we have to go and speak about our program at the company .... yikes ... but will wait till after the exame.
What is interesting about our project compared to many other systemdevelopment for such projects is - to quote a wellknown song - we did it our way

| Well - I think ... in the academic world - it would be equvivalent to an undergraduate. I dunno excatly It was a 2 1/4 programming/computer systemdevelopment - line at a buisness college. So it isn't directly translatable into the university classifications. But it would be considere the "master thesis" for the education, but it's not a degree of some sort - just our best bet for getting a job in the real world Quote: Originally posted by fable

Got a couple of companies I want to send applications to when I get them written, wich I hope I will have done by next week. Would be cool to get a job before I actually graduate (unless I fail my dissetation , wich I really doubt) |
