Exclamation WARNING!! Especially if you live SW England...

Because I bought a car.

I have held UK Full Licence for 9 years (10 1/2 years in total, as I got the licence in Japan originally), but have hardly driven for... 9 years.

If you see H-reg silver coloured Nissan Micra 1.2 GSX near Exeter/Exmouth, driven by a Japanese woman, avoid at all cost.

Thanks.

M

Thanks for the heads up Minerva!

Congratulations, btw, how free do you feel now?

Congrates Minerva.

Time to add some "Nitro" and some "Boom" next.

@Yshania: Free? I'm terrified. It's okay if I'm just driving around here, because there's hardly any possibilities hitting other cars or people. Chickens, maybe, or sheep... I'll give them warning. I might end up in a ditch, but that shouldn't be too much problem.

@Weasel: Yup, but mine is much older.

This is it, isn't it? I always avoid Japanese drivers - it's a survival instinct.

Some cars get better with age. My 89 Iroc is just hitting its stride. (My 85 GMC is for now...dead. )

I would figure..30 to 35 mpg for your car right?

LMAO! my hubby decided against the VX220 because it had a Vauxhall badge

And re the sheep, Mr Sleepy is the best to advise on how to avoid livestock

That said, he failed to warn me that we would be driving through a field of bold horses when we went to his house, suddenly the MR2 felt a very small car indeed

I'm scared ..... and I don't even live near England

Of course, I got a history of getting involved into crashs.
Of seroius stuff: 1 car crash and 2 bicycle crashs and counting

plus all the minor ones .

Reminds me of one of the occasions where I have been behind the wheel of a car....

I was 18, and my BF's parents had a dairy farm.... One fine day we decided to try out an old car amongst the pastures. From out of the middle of nowhere a great damn cow suddenly appeared so I hit the breaks in a hurry. As it happened, just at that moment the tires were conveniently rolling over something of a distinctly organic nature, so we slid at least a foot before stopping!
My BF was more concerned about the sodding cow than he was about me..Grrrr.. Though I had the satisfaction of knowing that he would be the one cleaning the tires....
