GRAAAAAAAAATH!!
God, my*(&%^$ mobilephone company are driving me INSANE!
For a full month (!) now, I've been trying to get my number transerred from my old pre-payed phone to my new subscription. Both are in the SAME company. Quote:
Call back tomorrow.
It will take 5 work days.
Sorry, I can't find anything.
I'm sorry for blah.
Yada yada yada.
| *cries* Why do they hate me?
I am a customer, what happend to the time when I was always right? I'm treated like I am nothing, a bad thing that comes with their income. As if they tolerate me.
I feel so frustrated...
Pfew, I needed to get that out of my system.

You did have to open that can of worms, did you?
I work for telecom companies for a living and I feel they are a prime example of true evil! Some days, nuclear holocaust looks like a bright and wonderful future. I'll go take my medication now...

Had the same problem once.
The trick is blackmail.
Dont sign ANYTHING (your not obligated to sign infront) untill everything is ok.
Stop payment untill everything is fixed etc.
Or just threthen to stop the contract.
Reading the contract realy helps. Your usually better covered then the company!

Dont worry though. Im planning on getting rid of the moral/ethics stuff alltogether and start selling telecommunications equipment! You know, the stuff the telecom companies always blame for services not working. Vengeance will be mine! Quote: |

LOL, good suggestions all.
Though it's hardly grounds for sueing them, that seems a bit radical.
I mailed them a threat that I'd not pay and consider the contract non valid due to non forfillment.
This moning I woke up, fired up my pc, and voila, a responce saying it will be done asap.
I love blackmail.
They didn't say anything about damage repayment though... phone bill, time spent on this BS. I want a discount.

One thing with these companies dont push your luck Here at work Swisscom disconnected our internet. All i had to do was ask for the guy up top and state that if they didnt have our internet back up in 2 days we the mission would complain to the government. Of course that doesnt do anything really and the government didnt care, but the internet was back up in 2 hours and we got a letter of apology at the end of the day.
Just to rub it in we filled a complaint and faxed off a letter stating were were displeased. Our internet was then re-disconnected So trust me dont push your luck

If you'd tried the same with MATAV (biggest Hungarian telecom co), nothing would've happened. You'll simply get a bill next month of an outrageous amount b/c you were late paying the last bill
But I'm glad your problem is solved.
I'm even more happy that CM's net is restored
