@T' - yes I am still getting those, at least twice or three times a day *sigh*

@Chan, it would be wonderful to meet up with you and Scayde, asbestos suits might be a little warm for the climate though I wonder if we could persuade Gwally and T' to join us too? Oh, and don't worry, I will only drink bottled... beers

LMAO! high energy?? Now that is a new term when applied to me but I agree re the word quaint

We get those calls as well - we figure they are those automated telemarketer machines. Always get one or two during the day and always one right at dinner time.

I think that this is what they are, they have increased over this last year since I changed from dial up to ADSL (and therefore freed the phone line). I had a great one the other day, I answered the call to a recorded American accent bidding me hold the line for a very important call. Now if that wasn't yet another of those holidays that I have won in Florida I might start to wonder whether BS was trying to reverse the charges I immediately replaced the hand set

Rodeo? Close...we needed some extra cash for some supplies *beer* and Ned had the great idea to sell tickets to our very own bullfight.

Being broke, we had to make do as best we could....so, dressed in watersoaked longjohns, Micky Mouse hats, and carrying red bathroom towels, we still couldnt find a bull. Ned steals a donkey, ties a couple sticks around it's head, and we're in business.

Unfortunatly, it went all downhill from there. The stubborn ass (donkey, not Ned) refused to charge, the patrons demanded their money back, and a scene ensued. Luckily, we were simply ordered to give everyone their money back, but for some reason, the ass( Not the donky, Ned) decided it would be funny to pull the donkeys tail. The donkey objected, and lashed out...kicking a prominent official in a place where it is now highly doubtful if he will ever celebrate father's day.

At this point, the ass( Me, not the donkey) had a sudden brainstorm and started selling tickets to pull the tail on the donkey. The official was not amused

LOL I find the worst telemarketer of all is Qwest..the phone company I average one or two calls a week from them and sometimes more. And I still haven't ordered anything but the basic phone service from them. (The only choice for local calls)

LMAO @BS!

Yeah, I'm sure my dial-up connection saves us from a few of thoes sales calls! I really hate the calls from resorts, telling me that my wife and I can come see a short 1-hour presentation and get a free T.V out of the deal as well as a two-night's stay! I ask them if babysitting is included and they usually get the idea....

Well, I have actually spoken to a few SYMer's, no names here, but has anybody ever told you how much you sound like Zsa Zsa Gabor

Scayde, Chan, Eery, Tammy and Silur.

Scayde's voice is bubbly nice, Chan spoke like a gentleman , Eery sounded like a DJ with his "Ohhh, yeah!" , Tammy's voice reminded me of one of my well-behaved students who seemed to have sunny days all the time while Silur sounded serious even when he habitually responds in agreement in one word "Yup!" (I guess, Anders must have something to do with Silur's disposition. )

@Sensei: LMAO! Ned and Big Mac will never forgive you for spilling the beans.

Edit- The first SYMian I spoke to was Tammy. We were chatting and I got curious so I ask his number then I called him. Same goes for Eery and Scayde. Then Chan and Scayde called me to greet me during Christmas. Silur was a surprise visit (for both me and him ).

I've never spoken to any SYMer in any other way than internet, though I'd like to... If they're willing to make the long distance payment.

I have a theory, however. Internet is better for making all-around friends. You tend to notice people's quirks and annoying habits if you spend too much time with them in real life, whereas you get the good side on internet. People don't prod at you like RL friends do (unless you ask them too, of course), and you really see people's better halves if you just talk occasionally on e-net.

However, meeting people in RL and going to *real* bars is probably much more fun than getting digitally buzzed.

Well, since the cat's out of the bag.....
*HUG*

I loved getting a chance to talk with you Mah....You have a wonderful voice, and sound just like I expected you to........If any one wonders what Mah sounds like..imagine a bottle of realy fizzy soda pop....all bubbly and happy and light hearted. He has a beautifully melodic quality to his speach, and very out going .

Mah, I am going to have to call you again very soon ....*HUG*
