| |  Star Wars, Episode II: 'Attack of the Clones'
I just found out that this is the official title for the second Star Wars prequel. Assuming this is not some elaborate hoax by George Lucas to jerk our chains, how do you all feel about the title? Personally I think it fits well with ‘The Phantom Menace’ and it’s nostalgia for the old serials. ‘Attack of the Clones’ seems like it would fit perfectly as an episode title for Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers. And the original trilogy’s titles were kind of hokey themselves (though after 20 years they’ve become too classic to lampoon). Would you prefer a more serious title for the new prequel or do you like the tongue in cheek salute to the old space operas?

It sounds a bit stodgy to me, i have to say that as a title be it sub or otherwise, it sucks donkeys like a monkey Fiddler (George lucas  )
Seriously IMO the phantom menace was fairly naff since we all new it was the sith, how is this any different?

I agree, The Phantom Menace sounded like a ridiculous title when it was first heard... Anyway, Attack of the Clones kind of makes sense, I mean aren't episodes 2 and 3 supposed to be dealing with the "Clone Wars"?

Star Wars has always been corny. But as the old saying goes: It’s not what you do, but how you do it. If done properly a Star Wars flick rocks the house like nothing else. Ever been in a packed theatre while watching the original trilogy? There’s an electricity in the audience that I’ve yet to see equaled in any other movie viewers.
I can’t wait to see Mandalorian warriors going head-to-head with Jedi Knights. Think of the final fight scene in The Phantom Menace a dozen times over without interruption by Gungans and kids in space fighters (it’s enough to send me into convulsions equaled only by a Pokemon induced epileptic fit). And if the reports of Yoda getting to lay the smack down are true, I’ll be in heaven. “Kick your ass I will, yeesss!” Counting the days to summer 2002 and praying George has got his groove back...

I’m pretty sure modern labor laws prohibit us from getting clowns to pick our cotton for us.
