So, to keep this post kind of purposful let me ask: What kind of a game is Star Ocean? Would you recommend it? What are its strong points? I've never even heard of it

Star Ocean: The Second Story, is a final fantasy style RPG

The battle system is c'zool. You control one of your 4 member (you can switch back and forth during a battle) and the computer controls the rest (you can choose their tactics however).

When you level up you get "SP" that you can spend on abilities like Cooking (makes health items), Weaponsmithing (makes weapon) and lots of similar.

You and the other character have 2 relationship stats (freindship and Love). Action you take effect the relationships.

Freindship effects battles:
If a character dies whitch another character was freind with, he will fly into a rage to get revenge for his freind.

Love effects the ending:
The two characters who have the hightest love rating will get hooked up. (there's also a few secret ending).

Over all, there's 806 different endings to the game.



The Story.

You can pick from 2 main character

Claude: A space marine guy who gets stranded on the fantasy style plannet "Expell".

Rena: A resident girly on "expell"

The 2 characters meet up, and together try to investigate "The Sorcery Globe" which turns little fluffy animals into wild bests


Other charaters include

Ashton: A unlucky guy who's cursed with two dragons on his back (Gyuro and Ururuo)

Dias: A cool swordsman

Celine: A mage who doesn't wear a lot of clothing

and lots more.

It is one of the finest RPG's I have ever played and i'll recomend it to anyone
