I saw some startrek discussion here, and i was wondering, anyone has seen the new series Enterprise, i downloaded 2 eppisodes cause it isn't available in the Netherlands yet. Have to say it's different then the other series, but maybe you have to get in to it. one thing is for sure, the title song sucks, don;t know why they have added vocals.

Those sites are in fact illegal as they are not released legitimately by the company, they are a breech of copyright laws, talk about Enterprise all you want, just not about the illegal copying of materials.
Thanks.

I am not expecting much from Enterprise. Its coming here monday. I use to see the ST shows, but they became increasingly bad. "The next generation" was great, (Obviously) ,voyager I thought was too repetitive and I didn't like the captain. I thought DS9 was good, but getting old. I think ST has dragged on too much. They should have stoped after The next generation.

I watched the first few episodes of Enterprise. The pilot was terribly unimpressive, but all of the ST pilots have been bad, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched it steadily for three more weeks.
I must say that the show does have a fresh look, but I can't stand to watch it. The cast is either mediocre or bad, the writing is uninspired and they have backed themselves into a corner having to come up with new "futuristic" technologies that pre-date TOS.
Maybe I'm spoiled by good TV shows like The West Wing, but Enterprise is off my regular list of shows to watch.

I like the pilots, except for Star Trek TOS' pilot. Quote: | I must say that the show does have a fresh look, but I can't stand to watch it. Especially what's-his-name who plays Captain Archer! The writing is good and it will improve as the show goes on! They haven't backed themselves into a corner with the tech. They're showing devolopmental stages of the tech from TOS, TNG, etc. The phase pistols for example. They're having to come up with more interesting situations that don't rely as much on the fancy tech. The show is also showing Earth in its early stages of 'entering into the galaxy.' Enterprise, Andromeda, and Stargate SG1 are about the only good shows on now, and the only shows I watch. | | |

You'd think that since they're trying to distance the new show from the rest of the franchise (ie-calling the show simply Enterprise instead of Star Trek: Enterprise) that they'd either have a new theme song written or they'd use a song that nobody had heard instead of using a Rod Stewart re-tread.

The last episode (here in North America) was been good, because the show sort of abandonned trying for a peaceful solution to their problems.
