Hm.. something just came to mind, this one moment in the first Call of Duty game. You had to defend a bridge for a really long time, intense battles for a day and a night I believe. During the last few hours there was this huge swell in German forces and you were more or less forced to retreat to one side of the bridge, enemy tanks coming in from every direction. Then suddenly the sounds of bullets and explosions around you would lower, and this slightly sad classical music piece started gaining volume at a slow pace, as though you had arrived in the last scenes of a movie.
I don't remember if I held the bridge, but I remember pinking away a few tears. It was the music that made that moment memorable, as you might imagine.
