I was looking for similar book on the internet and had what I think to be a good idea. You name a book, then if someone knows of a book similar or around the same subject name that/those book(s).

I'll start... i'm looking for something similar to the Eragon/Eldest books. It's about dragons. I know that the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit is very similar and i'm currently reading the Hobbit. But any suggestions would be greatly welcomed.

If you like The Hobbit/LOTR, you might enjoy Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series.

Until you get past some of the books... the it just drags on, and on, and on...

I recomend the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Or one of the Dragonlance series... the books mentioned before are better, however.

Actually, the series consists of dozens of books, and do not always have to do with dragons. The one I am currently reading has to do with a scourge of the undead.

I enjoy most of Weiss' work... however, I do not read it all that often anymore. I am now waiting for the next SoT book to come out.

one series- composed by one author contains 100+ books!?
and.... why are they called "dragonlance" if some have no dragons? and do they all relate to one story, or seperate ones?

Dragonlance is actually like the Forgotten Realms. Though, in the recent years, it's not quite as good.

If you read any DL books, check out the early, War of the Lance books.

I agree. My book is somewhat older. I did like the War of the Lance... have not read the Test of the Twins though.

Phreddie, are you english, or do you have English as a second language? If you do, could you tell me the name of the series? If it is your second language, does it have english versions?

The Dragonlance novels are quite good. The "official" books (or the organizing books, more appropriately) are those done by Marget Weis and Tracey Hickman. So, I'd start with the War of the Lance Trilogy, if you enjoy that the "Legends" trilogy by those authors is also quite good, and so forth. They are great, fast paced, fantasy books. And if you enjoy the world, there are books to keep you enmeshed for years to come.
