Well in the SPAM-filled Post your Photos thread, I raised the idea that the NO-SPAM Photo thread should become a sticky.
Mah said, and I agree, that before it becomes a sticky, we would have to make sure that SYM doesnt mind that there would be an additional sticky, because some people dont like a lot of stickies.
So do you think the Photos thread should be a sticky?

I really don't mind... Stickies take up room, I think. But still, it would be nice to have the thread in plain view for folks. *shrugs*

We're down to two stickies right now, so I don't think that there's much danger of SYM getting too "sticky". The thread can always be "un-stickied" (or should that be "un-stuck") if it starts to take up space.

Doesn't matter to me. I think the whole hatred towards stickyness came from having too many at one time a while back. Besides, it's either that or it just keeps getting bumped, so why not go for convenience since it actually has a legitimate reason for not being buried in the pages of SYM.

What is the purpose of making it sticky? I personally quite like the fact that a newbie has to hunt for it. I have no interest in searching back through to find pictures of everyone since I saw them first time around and the only reason it is bumped is when someone adds a picture so I see the new one then.

For me personally it doesn't matter since I easily can dig the thread up if I want to look at the pictures.
For newcomers however, I think it's a good idea to have it as a sticky together with the Anatomy thread, so I vote yes.

I think Sticky should be kept minimal for necessity, like rules and occasional important announcement for short time, with a few exceptions in each forums (tactics, links, etc).

I only look at it when it is bumped, and if it is sticky, I will never look at it. I never look at the anatomy thread for the same reason.
I think the photo thread, the photo-spam thread, the anatomy thread, and the anatomy-spam thread should all be referenced and linked in T'lainya's forum rules thread which would then be the only sticky thread. Every newcomer would be reminded to look at the rules and the various personal data threads would be offered then.
