Can you explain WHY this has turned into such a fiasco? All I have heard on the radio is that economic difficulties led to some looting, which led to a state of emergency, which led to killing, which led to a resignation.

So why does Argentinia have such a poor economy right now?

@Dottie: I don't think forgiving debts is the answer. If you have a kid who keeps spending more than their allowance, do you think it wise to continue giving him money? No, Argentinia has to (IMHO) learn to live within their means.
