I am sure there is some subliminal message in this that makes you want to keep listening.

Nah, it's definately the music, it's damn catchy, and I just want to listen to it, even if I'm not looking at the animation.

It's either Japanese or Gibberish, though it probably isn't Japanese.

Found a live version on you tube.

And on the group.

And the song is called Ieva's Polka. And is now stuck in my head...

Apparently it's a dialect related to Finnish (see lyrics in lyrics thread), Savo, from somewhere in East Finland.

And here is the kitten version of the video.

Well, I'm no expert in Finnish... the only word I recognize is "kukka" which means flower... But I can't find it in the lyrics

But I have a hard time of believing this is Finnish... I dunno...

Oooh, I take that back... heard the full version of the song Makes more sense now

I think the middle part (the "eàtsa tsa parelì ... du du deheadò" part) might be gibberish since it's not translated (a bit like "With me ring dum a doodle um dah Whack for the daddy o" in Whisky in the jar).

With all your talk of metal you Finns hide you have good folk music, shame on you!

Well anyway, I think I just fell in love with the Finnish language... it really sounds nice (and I don't mean the nonsense verses in the middle) and it doesn't surprise me that Tolkien gave one of his elven languages (Quenya) a bit of a "Finnish" sound.

Yeah, in some songs it can sound nice, but speaking it it's not that wonderful... and it is a bitch to learn!
