I'm very curious as to why Mrs Buck Satan was banned.
What actual reason was given ban to this person?
The regulars of this site are always bragging about how open minded this site is over others and I'd certainly have to hate if the only reason this person was banned is because they had the words 'buck satan' in their name.

The said poster has committed a number of violations of forum rules. Before getting banned, a member is given a warning. Apparently, the poster continued to display a certain behavior that is not congruent with what we are expected to be as stipulated in the forum rules. Aside from that, the said poster made a new account considering that he was already banned.
Of course, you wouldn't see much of the evidence anymore since the offending posts were either edited or deleted entirely by the mods.  | | |

Impersonating another member.
Alter-ego account.
"No point" spamming, like copying others post and reposting them in for instance the SoA forum.
And when the first alter-ego (Mrs Buck Satan) account was banned, then re-entering the forum under yet another account (Mrrs Buck Satan) and posting obsenity (which I deleted from this forum).
We are openminded at this forum, and can allow us to be so because we have rules. Break the rules in a large and serous amount and you will however have your posting rights revoked.
We have no need for such people, who knowingly break the rules at this forum, they can go elsewhere on the Internet, where such things are allowed.

As i aint a mod, but hell i am an old member and will comment 
Basically it was an issue of alter-ego accounts. But within every society even on SYM there are some laws that arent broken and some things you dont do. Just an example Mrs. Buck Satan made a remark against my mother which would have gotten him a broken face if it was in real life. But over the net you cant do much so you ban.
Bannings here are pretty fair. I mean a moderator was banned for breaking the rules. So its very even handed on their side of things. Some may not agree with the bannings for personal reasons but that is fair. Consider the 10 rules of SYM as the 10 commandments for GB. Never break them or (Buck) Satan will fry (ban) you.

I have only been here for a short time.
I have already seen 1 or 2 been banned, but too me it looked fair enough in all cases.
In a forum with so many members as we are, there have to be some rules and the rules have to be maintained. Or else it would be a chaos of spamming...
I think the mods are doing a fine and fair job

It is rare that people get banned from GameBanshee, so you can be pretty sure that when somebody gets their IP banned that they have stepped (far) over the line.
Nobody gets banned due to minor disagreements or similar. This case with the 2 alter-accounts (from the same user) and abusive posts, was severe.

The fact that it was an annoying little jackass contributing nothing to the forums was enough of a reason to justify the ban, in my opinion. Mind you, this wasn't the reason for the ban and I'm sure Buck is way more leniant than I would be if I were the administrator (which is why I guess the boards are thriving), but it was enough for me not to shed a tear in this particular instance.

The fact is that this spammer was not even being polite. I think that if he tried to play but harmlessy, that will be fine, or at least easy to understand. But when he started his agressive behavior things changed.
The mods work is fine, and I think he deserved to be banned. I even got upset with him, cause he messed with my country. If he is banned, he deserved it.
Conclusion? Be a troll doesnt pay.

The person was deliberately reposting a few recent BG2 threads by other members--same title, same first post--to get 'em kicked off GameBanshee, because one of Buck's rules is no multiple accounts. In other words, the troll was trying to cause others to lose their accounts. Think how you'd feel if you tried to access GameBanshee and found your account had been terminated because someone had set you up to look like a multiple account user. Real funny, that.
