Klorox, please stop putting you-tube movies on the forum, without saying anything else. I feel like you're abusing the 'speak your mind' forum.
And about the video... Jees. The comments are funny though.

Speaking of YouTube videos, the following interview of Joe Biden by Barbara West of WTFV Channel 9 News in central Florida was posted on YouTube, but you can also view it on the WTFV.com website: One On One With Joe Biden
I was waiting for Ashton Kucher to jump out and yell, "Punked!" but that's not in the video. Apparently, Ms. West actually is the voice of 23% of the American population.

Yes, in one sense the video is indeed funny in a very dry, biting way. However, having read a lot of comments in places like YouTube, or being aware of the numerous conspiracy/hate sites out there... I also wince, because this video is, unfortunately, an accurate and unpleasant reflection of a particular point of view...
I find it amazing how there are still plenty of people out there who are guided by a fear that has its origins in racism and decades of Joseph Goebbels - style propaganda.

@dragon wench, it sounds like you might be worrying too much how other people will react to that bit of comedy. It's making of fun of people who believe in stupid conspiracy theories. If that's funny to you, then it's funny.

I think it is reasonable to conclude that those who scoffed at the conspiracy theorists and the accusations of Obama as a socialist, terrorist, redistributionist etc. etc. will chuckle at the video. And yes, I did too, at one level it is definitely funny. As far as the people this video laughs at are concerned, they will either bristle, or if they are especially obtuse they will feel vindicated. But, I'm not actually worried at how people will react, it will either sing to the converted or it will confirm, for some, the notion of a "Liberal elitist media." At worst, as I stated, the most ignorant will miss the irony completely. But these are all predictable reactions, and I don't think they will change anything.
All I'm saying is that while it is humorous, it is also a highly accurate reflection of a certain reality, and that particular reality is, in fact, chilling.

Then it sounds like you might not be sure how to react to Beavis and Butt-Head cartoons, as well. | | |

And then I spend way too much time trying to balance and process those reactions. So yes, I can be pretty messed up at times.

Well, I look at it this way. It's not funny in real life when a couple of stupid teenagers think "frog baseball" is really cool. But it's very funny when Beavis and Butt-Head think it's cool. By the same token, it's not funny when people in real life actually believe a bunch of crap about Obama*, but I still laughed at the video when it talked about the "Give White People's Guns To Black People Program".
* EDIT: Or when President Bush actually used hand sanitizer immediately after shaking hands with Obama when they met for the first time a few years ago. Even I sometimes have trouble believing what a moron Bush is.
