Poet?

Well, as I was reading some things here on GameBanshee.com and managing some of my poetry stuff, I started to wonder. Does anyone here write poems? Whether for books, friends, family, or just to deal with every day life. I myself enjoy writing poetry, though my works are certainly not masterpieces and do not even compare to some of the great poets and artists out there. Some of my favorite compositions are those links below. Check 'em out, if you wish to know more about me, or feel like reading poetry.

I like all of my writes, they are like my childrens... But some I think I expressed how I was feeling more/better than others.

If you do choose to read some of my work, please tell me what you think. Even if you hated it. I would enjoy knowing what you thought. Criticism is oft a good, if not the best, way to learn.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to post any of their works. I would enjoy reading them. Or, if you don't feel like sharing, you could simply tell why you write/don't write.

P.S. This is my first post in the Speak Your Mind forum, and I don't know if this topic is appropriate or not, but I was curious, so I took a shot at it.

Being a confused teenager, I write poems quite a bit. I've been writing for a few years, I guess. For me, its a means of expressing my feelings and thoughts in a way I can understand. I'm also completely useless at art, so I make up for it by being a decent writter.

It helps me survive, cope, feel, hate, and love. I might post some later.

EDIT: I read your fav.s, and I love them! I really, really liked Except For You and Shattered World. And btw, your link to Storms Within is actually the link to Silent Desperation.

They work for me, though the Storm Within is the same link as the Silent Desperation (which, btw, I enjoyed a lot reading).

I feel like writing a poem now, heh, even though it's been a while. I'll post it when I get around to doing it.

I've tried writing poems, but they all sucked so I quit. It's ok though, I've found a new way to express myself------random acts of violence . Anyways, I read a few of your poems and I thought that they were good, though I'm hardly a leading authority on poetry or any other of the "fine arts."
