Please help! Where to report sites with child pornography?

Yesterday when I was looking for gamehacks, I got completely bombarded with child pornography websites. Millions of pop-up windows with pictures appeared, and my browser crashed. However, I caught some of the URL:s and sent them to the Belgian Police "Child porn contact point".

Is this any good, ie does it really reach the police? Do you have any suggestions where to report this stuff so it really does disappear?

The Swedish police is not much of a hope, they have a very small department working with internet crimes, and they are already overloaded with reports from the public.

I've actually never encountered it before, probably because I seldom use internet for other things than GB, news (BBC, CNN etc) and job related stuff.

And I don't really understand the connection between game hacks and cheats and child porn.

I found porn site for bestiality yesterday under a header "Gundam wing pics"

As you can tell, people WILL try to fake you out... although that H+D pic was QUITE graphic. ~_~;;

The people who make those porn sites, when getting them listed in the list of sites search engines go through, they include various things that are popular in their keywords(what makes them 'relevant' to the search). Some will even say they are such&such(whatever you're looking for), but when you click on them they're porn, or hentai if you're searching for anime sites. That's how I accidentally found the Canadian Sailor Moon Hentai Site.

Surely if the same common keywords are used then eventually there will be several million sites under the same ones and the porno sites would drop to the bottom.

Possibly.

Interesting little note: I searched for sites about "nudist colonies" on www.goto.com sometime last year(to see how many porn sites it would list) and not a single porn site was listed.

Perhaps if you spell it 'colonys' you might get more response, very few coders can actually spell correctly, infact Peter Molyneux (Black and White, populous etc) is dyslexic.
