Salted and creamy.
My secret love, which I haven't had in over five years, are sandwiches made from peanut butter and marshmallow fluff.

Delicious salted creamy peanut butter on my Eggo Waffles with maple syrup.
My uncle however likes that all natural peanut butter on his cereal. Go figure!

Ah finally a thread to celebrate the glory of peanut butter. That stuff is so good, it's easy, cheap and TASTY! I suppose I like it salted and crunchy but I don't really know about the difference between salted and unsalted, maybe that's something we don't have around here.

I think the salted or not issue is related to the type you buy. The more commonly known brands contain salt by default, as well as sugar and numerous other ingredients.
Being the food purist I am ( ) ... the variety we buy only contains peanuts, peanut oil and salt (if you choose that type).
But, I suppose since it is a "natural" brand, they are more focused on issues like whether or not their products contain salt, since some people have dietary concerns.
How can you tell I live on the West Coast of North America?
Though, contrary to what Hill believes, I am *not* a hippy

Peanut butter and waffles with syrup is great! Rachel introduced me to that. It is horrid for you, but oh so good.
@Tony and Gwally, Fluffernutter sandwiches are bomb. You just can't beat them! Cheap, easy to make, and delicious. What's not to love?

@Mag,
thank you for that !
Mmm... I like blending peanut butter with honey too... and then spreading it on apple slices (preferably a really tart, crisp variety)
I should try maple syrup some time as well

That sounds... messy. Though, I'm *not* asking for details

Do with your foul peanut butter whatever you want, but not on waffles. *shudders in abject horror*
Now a nice rice plate with a sauce based on a paste of peanuts (nothing to do with those foul things talked about in this thread) and with cassava or potato leaves, that something else altogether.

Messy, yes, but fun. Most fun things end up messy anyways, right?

Well, when we want to pick on the Dutch we say things like "We have a cuisine, the Dutch have peanut butter". For me its something very much associated with Holland. I didn't know it was this popular in North America. Maybe also the absence of a cuisine? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
