ot: what robes does Luke wear in EP.6?

They are kinda dark... dark jedi knight robes?

What do you think?

Ever wonder whatever else is in the movie?

I think Maul had force wave against Obi Wan in Ep. 1. Very nice.

Or maybe it was just, black pants and shirt mayhap? Probably b/c he looked too much of a trainee in the first two, now he is a jedi knight, and should also look like one, not like a farmboy or a pilot.

if I ever make a move, everybody, both good and bad, will wear blue and pink, just to remove those silly "black is evil, everything else is good" drejudicses.

Anyhoo, just to stick to the topic, Darth Vader uses "lightsaber Throw" on Luke, ep.6 but Luke makes his Reflex saving throw and evades it
Later in the fight, Luke uses "Flurry III" on Vader and scores a critical hit, and therefore wins. However, he makes his Will saving throw and resists the attempted convertion from the Emperor.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but I couldn't resist

I am pretty sure that Luke is wearing Dark Jedi Knight Robes, Not 100% sure though.

Yeah, its pretty clear that the rules set forth in KoTOR or the d20 system are more interpretations of the movies, than something that can be taken as literal guides. Lucas is not exactly a consistent guy.

Still, the robes really seem to have been to show Luke's maturity. He progresses from white, to brownish, to black attire. I don't think it has anything to do with light side/dark side, but rather is intended by the costume designers to illustrate his growth into an independent and powerful Jedi.

I have wondered about the light saber crystals in the movies. I've often wondered if the KoTOR/d20 interpretation of blue as guardian, green as consulor, and yellow as sentinal have any merit in the movies. Luke's wielding a green saber by the end of Episode 6. I've wondered if that signifies him attaining consular. Though, again, I'd imagine we're still talking about a maturity thing - him having "graduated" to master status, after having walked the lower paths of guardian and sentinal or some such nonsense.

Anyway, I'm putting way too much thought into something I really have no idea about...

@Faust, His atire I would believe has something to do with his maturity. And he weilded a blue light saber at frist, as a Jedi Gaurdian, And he resronstructed another, and I guess that he made it green. Mace Windue, whatever, doesn't have an official saber color, Purple. And there was a master in the Council who wore a breath mask and who was a "Sentinale" or so thought to be beacuse of his saber color, He is an alien and I forgot his name, he is in yellow and black atire and he is a playable character on the old playstation game.

This has no relevance for SW:KotOR2, I'm moving it to SYM.

In the d20 system, the colour of the sabers mean squat. Just as they do in the movies. Samuel L. Jackson has a purple light saber because it was one of his two requests to do the character of Mace Windu. Luke moves from blue, to green to show that he has gone from using his father's saber (destroyed on Cloud City, along with his hand), to his own saber. Not only that, but the red of Vader's saber was simply to contrast the lighter colour's of Luke's.

@Zenemij: If you're interested, the Jedi Master you're thinking of is a member of the Kel Dore race, and is a Jedi Consular, as that specific race, within the d20 system, is more adept at using the Force, than physical combat.

if you observe carefully and compare lukes robes/boots to the dark jedi robes in KotOR, youll find little difference. i believe that the robes luke wears in ep6 are the same model as the dark jedi robes in KotOR.

Some spoilers conserning SW Expanded Universe:
Luke's first saber was not destroyed on Bespin, Vader found it and presented it (together with Luke's fist) as a present to Emperor who deposited it in his treasure vault on planet Wayland.
That fist was used by insane clone of Jedi Master Jorus C'boath (one of Palpatine's Jedi advisors in AotC) to create a clone of Luke so he could turn Luke to the Dark side by forcing him to fight himself. That clone was killed by former Emperor's Hand Mara Jade who in doing that fullfiled Emperors Last Command: "Kill Luke Skywalker"
After that fight Luke recovered his father's saber and give it to Mara as a gift.
30 years after battle of Endor Jedi Master Mara Jade Skywalker still caries that lighsaber. She is also mother of Luke's son Ben.

According to Power of the Jedi Sourcebook Plo Koon is Jedi Guardian 11/Jedi Master 2.
According to same book Yoda is Jedi Consular 9/Jedi Master 8/Jedi Instructor 3 and Mace Windu is Jedi Guardian 7/Jedi Master 6/Jedi Weapon Master 5.

Those levels vary significantly, depending on which book you pull them from. I've seen three seperate variants of each character, depending on if you get them from the Light side book, the main source book, or the heroes book.

I think that this was poated in one of thr KoToR threads, But isn't the Level limit 20? Therefore the Jedi/Sith were stronger back then.
i.e Darth Natasha, MY character

I don't believe it's limited to level 20, but I believe the SW d20 system is geared more for lower levels, making epic that much more powerful and rare.

I seem to remember in "Shadows of the Empire", the book between Ep.5&6, that Luke wore those clothes throughout the story. They were referred to as a simple black tunic and pants. In terms of symbolism, however, I tend to agree with the thought that they serve as a visual sign of maturity. The white showing his innocence and naivete. In ESB his clothes are dingier, showing the partial loss. By ROTJ, he has come to grips with the truth of his father's identity, gotten control of himself and the Force, and become a Jedi. But the Innocent Farm Boy would never be the same....

His saber was green because He had to make it in a special mini oven in Obi-Wan's house on Tatooine, according to the process in an old book he had found there. That would have been written by the Old Jedi Order and Jedi sabers were traditionally blue or green, while Sith were red. According to SOTE, Luke used the force to help make the molecular structure of the crystal, thus infusing it with his emotions. The color was a result of the passive calm emotions exuded by the light side of the Force. The Sith, conversely would infuse violent emotions, such as hate, thus creating the angry red glow their sabers are known for. Subsequent novels and games have their Jedi constructing sabers with natural stones, so the color is more random. Personally, I think it's better to have random color, since the saber is supposed to be an extension of the Jedi's personality, it shows that no two personalities are alike.

Maybe thats why Lucas had them being standardized, to illustrate the Jedi's stagnation. Perhaps he was trying to show that they were unable to see the dark side's advance because of a loss of individuality. Could that be part of Anakin's bringing "Balance to the Force"? Hmmm...
