Old Voice Mail?

I just went through my cell phone and went through all of the old voice mail left on it since....October I think? I have deleted some of them when I got a call and had the mind to do it, but a number of them have just been stored in my phone for a long time. Some from my brother on my last birthday a few months ago. Some from around Christmas time. Some from last fall when I was dealing with whether or not I would get back with Jenica and we were still friendly. Some from drunk people who called me and wanted to see me.

Does anyone else have the habit of not bothering to delete old voice mails, then having situations in your life totally change. When you go through the old voice mails, it brings back memories hearing someone's voice you had thought you would never hear again?

I constantly forget, but it all works out in the end: it's something to do if you find yourself needing to use the restroom but with no magazines or newspapers in sight.

It's true! It's not the fact that I forget and it's a hassle to get rid of them. It's the fact I have messages from a girl saying she loved me on my phone from MONTHS ago, which a few weeks after that we ceased contact. I honestly never thought I'd hear her voice again and had no problem with it. Then suddenly, BAM, she's talking to me from a voice mail I forgot to delete. That one threw me for a loop.

@ BS, my cell is the only phone I have. Technically, I pay 4.95 a month for an emergency phone line that I could use to hook a regular phone up to the wall, but it's not worth it. I'd pay $1 a minute unless I bumped the fees up another $30 a month and it's no good since I have a cell phone. SO, my voice mail IS my only answering machine. That or Yahoo! messenger, PM's here or my email for people who know of those.

Very few people know my cell phone number, and those that do know I don't regularly use my cell phone; it's supposed to be for emergencies only. Sometimes, I break that rule, obviously. I've had a few voicemails on there, several of which were wrong numbers. Any others i got weren't exactly anything more than, "Hey, it's (name), call me back when you get a chance." Speaking of, I need to call Lucy...

I probably would too if my provider didn't have their policy in place. Then again, they probably have that policy because the majority of their users were the same way.

Very people know mine really. Those that do don't call all to often anyhow. It's simpler to get ahold of me via computer.

@ DaemonJ, Hmm, my provider doesn't bother. I honestly don't know how many it can hold...I didn't have that many really, I think I had 14 or so. I deleted a number of them a few times since then, but I got bored after deleted 3-5 and left the rest on there for later.
