Going by what you say, though. It does appear that the study is very Sweden specific. It would be interesting to make global comparisons, and in particular it might be interesting to look at market studies to examine patterns of porn consumption.
Yes, it is unfortunate. Many governments make similar studies to the Swedish ones, for instance I know that the US FDA make health studies that are not aimed for scientific journals but political decisions - the difference is of course that English is an international language so anyone could go to FDA:s website and read the reports. Well, some reports are confidential of course. In Sweden, almost no governmental reports of this type are confidential, but that doesn't help since nobody understands the content anyway.

The porn and dating studies I mentioned are indeed specific to the Swedish population and I don't think the results can be generalised to other population since sexual behaviour and gender role behaviour are heavily culturally influenced. My reason for even mentioning the results of these studies although they are not scientific publications, is that I want to demonstrate that at least there are objective data showing a variation in men's and women's behaviour that support the view that porn consumption and pleasure in visual sexual stimuli is not necessarily a specifically male behaviour, although it may be in some cultures.

I do think it would be very difficult to investigate porn consumption globally since not only the values surrounding porn but also the legality and accessability vary so widely. A comparison between Western regions like for instance European countries and North America could perhaphs be conducted though, but I don't think anyone has done this. Sexual behaviour is not my expertise area though, so I when I have time I will need to check the databases and ask a collaborator of mine who is specialised in sexual behaviour.

Well, note that in order to call somebody "expert", I view it as a minimum critera that it is your profession

Since I don't get paid and I don't have any formal education, I must be viewed as an amateur, albeit enthusiastic!

The formal education can always be expanded with "or equivalent by experience", but the non-renumerative nature of the activities in this specific field of expertise might be a hindrance, yes.

Well, it's always possible to turn professional. For the good of science and the national economy, of course.

I suppose this is where I should put in an obligatory mention of the "no spam" tag at the start of this thread, before I laugh myself to tears.

I'm not the foundation--that's Buck. I'm merely a particularly rusty and bent girder in the frame.

It's just that the fatter the paycheck the more serious the experience is taken.

Of course, there are always competitive exams organised by qualified recruiting agencies, for which submission dates will be published in suitably obscure publications or hidden in difficult to access corners of websites so only the incrowd knows.

That being said, to go on OT, are these nekkid mods for PCs or NPCs? (I don't see much use for them for PCs, especially in the boob department, since you're mostly looking at your PC's hiney).

LOL! I don't know. I've never tried those mods, since if I want to look at or manhandle any portion of a female anatomy, my wife offers a far better and more enthusiastic target.

This is, at least partly, due to there being an international treaty that requires all nations to collect specified demographic/economic statistics. In Australia it is the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Excuse me here, but unless there is a skewing of these statisics due to a larger 'engaged' female than male gay internet population this would appear, upon first glance to be a logical fallacy *snicker* - I said fallacy *takes a cold shower - Thinks of Athena under the shower - takes another cold show with ice - rubs ice.....* - Curdis !

And err yeah no more 'S'-word Okay!?
