Here is my mangy rant, its aimed at people in generall but no one in particular.. So no need to take offence, unless of course it takes your fancy, in which case ill delete the mangy mass of nothingness

Alright, I have the beef in my sight...

Possibly some of you have gathered that im a real farm-boy, a mangy bumkin, yeah.. S'true, I dun mind.. Better'n a- I wont say it for fear of Modish retribution (I save my insults for myself, and metaphisical things that can take offense)

Heres the beef...

Why do so many stinkin people think there perfect these days? And whats with all the crazy revenge going on?

I mean, does anyone like there parents anymore.. Or is it possible for a relationship to end without absolute spewing of hellfire and lifelong bitterness? (Ive seen it, ive done it! ITS NOT HARD!!!)

Im very taken back.. Becouse everyone these days is violent and edgy and no one will admit when they do something wrong, getting an apology is harder than getting blood from a stone, and the more you open up about whats wrong with you, trying to ease things up.. They just collect it all and use it against you! Its crazy, the world is mad.. I tell you

I mean, why do people these days have these gigantic iron ego's? you cant do anything to crack em, couse any critisizm is immediatly shunned, as descrimination or they hide behind 'pc' dogma, so they can retain there patina of perfection.. All the while, spewing there manufactured 'Issues' to evoke pity form everyone they meet and as a pathetic excuse for being so edgy and violent..

Is this a city thing? Or am I way out of touch? How long has this been happening for? Or have I just been unlucky enough to meet only the waste of the universe in this last year..

My landlord lives behind me, he lets his dog jump on my car.. Infact, he thinks its FUNNY!!! He does it while IM STANDING THERE!! Its scratched my car..

he wouldnt think it was funny if I came into his house and started wrecking stuff

I turn on the tv.. And Fox eights wonderfull Dark angel tops of my day by stealing a dress for a party..

What kind of a thing is that for kids to be watching? An infinatly cool character theiving stuff, with absolutly no sane reason whatsoever..Dont they think it might just rub off, a little?

Theives are the bad guys! Stop reverseing roles you corny hollywood feinds.. Its not original ! Its cheap and morally pathetic, maybe you should hock your suit and buy some creativity james cameron,.. I visit my uncle.. Hes a good guy, right.. A bit on the old smelly side, but good nonetheless. He tells me some guy, in a DRIVE THROUGH LINE belted him, for taking to long! Who made this guy the universal determinate of what is to long and what isnt?

I am abolutly wacked and overwhelmed, the biggest place ive been in the last eighteen years, was 5k pop.. Now im in a city of 3 or so million,

Im an objective veiwer, and I can say.. The sheer lvl of violence, smut, generall bastardry has gone far beyond anything acceptable... I know no one on my street, becouse they refuse to speak to me, not becouse im weird or anything, they just wont becouse they have there little isolated community of friends and arnt interested in obtaining any more.

One time respectable suburds are now holes, one tie holes are now ghettos, one time ghettos are now beyond description...

Im not saying life was peachy 'ahh, back in my day son' but im sayin.. A thug was a thug, a slut was a slut, a jerk was a jerk and everythin in between, whats more. THEY KNEW THEY WERE and they didnt blame it on there parents..

No one is even one tenth what they think they are these days, overconfidance is an understatement.. Buts its not real, and thats what makes me the most angry..

People will smarm and grinn and tell you there perfect, but I dont beleive it, and they dont.. And no one else does and if they give you a flaw its always some desighner hangups, coused BY SOMEONE ELSE in there past

The world is devolving into a miserable hoard of fruedian phycologists, blaming everything on each other and doing whatever they want becouse anyone that wants to had access to this cheap, method of absolving there guilt

This is not all people, its maybe.. Oh, say, One in five.. In so much as I can guess, out of the people ive meet in the past year.. Mostly Psuedo friends, you know.. The kind of people that will swill up with you and have a laugh, but hey, there not friends.. They wont drop buy, or help.. And they dont think anything you do obligates them in any way shape or form to be a descent person in return

In summary ... Fleh, heres to getting out... 3 months and counting

Well, I can only say that I really DO agree with you, gnomethingy.
It´s even worse in Denmark, because people won´t even admit their absolutely huge egos, even though it is so obvious. We have a psygolocical (sp., I know) "law" here that is called the law of Jante. It is quite simple, in that it states that you should not think you are anything (horrible english, yes) of value, but consider yourself almost humble and worthless.

It is my experience that humanity is not very good at being kind to anything but themselves. At least a big part of it isn´t.

Now I feel depressed as hell. And the sad thing is I feel so because this stuff is true. As much as I'd hate to admit it 99% of Danes are arrogant, racist and extremely unfriendly and closed. And no one would admit it.

I have often wandered what has humanity accompished in the couple of thousand years it has exsited. I really wonder if people now live better than they did 2000 years ago. Sure, we've got colour TV and toilet paper, but are people happier in any way?

Where I come from, there are so few people.. Everyone knows everyone, and are not likely to play crazy ego games.. Everyone knows everyone, in all there crappy glory and has seen them at there worst, so there is little pretense...

So different to a large city, which is quite franky.. A hideos morrass of clashing ego's, the search for $$, lies, social intolernance, violence and all the bad things a person is capable off

And besides, im having a big sulk couse I miss my friends, my house, living near water, my shop and the only way I get to speak to my wife is via phone call, or If I feel like driving for ten hours.. Seeing her for four hours, then driving home and working without sleep (The level of consideration if given to doing that scares me) But id just get in trouble if I did, so poot.. Dang and in summary : I wish I could swear on this msg board

Danes are a good lot (if a dane is allowed to say so). All my friends are top people, and I dont just say that because they are my friends - err. Apart from my friends almost all danes I know are nice people.

Go take a long hot bath and drink a hot coco. Then go to bed and sleep a good long time and i bet things will look up in the morning.

You're probably right. I'm just feeling kind of depressed right now (and I don't even know why). My usual self is bright and cheerful, but the last couple of weeks I've felt quite bad for some reason. That's probably a reason why I stoped posting in these forums for a while.

Well anyways, thanks for trying to cheer me up. I spilt almost half of liter of milk while I was making my hot coco.

I agree with Tom here, a vast majority of people are indeed nice, friendly and wish you well. I live in a medium size city, 1.8 million people, I've travelled all over the world and I have lived in London too, although I would rate Moscow as the world's most unfriendly place rather than London.

Humans are a group living species, and as such we are very sensitive to how others behave, regardless of whether we are conscious about it or not. If you feel grumpy, depressed and generally dissatisfied with things, chance is that this affect you to behave more introverted, more silent, have a more suspicios or even hostile attitude towards others etc. They will then believe you dislike them or aren't interested in them, and that may cause them to behave less friendly. The world is full of unpleasant people, but the nice ones are still 1000 times more.

UK and Wale drug crime convictions alone are 98.1 per 1000.
That is not counting other crimes. Not even glancing at the assorted ^@@holes..I would not even guess at countries with higher rates....The US for example..

It depends on people attitude how we percieve others negatively..Yet isn't the opposite also true? If you are terminally optimistic and upbeat aren't you kinda in denial about what evil is in the shadows?
I think that living anywhere largly depends on your income as to your immediate enviorment.
We are a "group living species" yes.. Yet studies have shown that most humans can only accept X amount of people into their "tribe" beyond that they are considered as non entities at best. I remember a thing I saw...they had a man collapse on the street. In a small close knit town like Clovelly in the UK, people quickly noticed and rushed to aid. In london, New Yourk, Tokyo the people literally never saw it..they stepped over him as if he were a log in thw forset.
To Nativve Americans the word "Stranger" and "Enemy" were synonmous. We have become so increasingly overcrowded we, at best, have merely relegated enemies to non entities.

Just my opinion...which I will be first to admit is less than worth two cents.

Anyway, you make a lot of sense. People, these days, are incredably fake. Many of them won't even admit to what they are, and they think they are better then they actually are. Part of this is the school's fault, and this confidence thing. People say that a Thug is just someone who isn't happy at home, which is utter crap. They are fine at home, because they quite often don't even interact with their parents, who are usually the same as the kid. Oh well.

Actually, the last time I heard it it was being sung by one of those mounted rubber fish that sing at you when you press a button. "Big Mouth Billy Bass" or something, IIRC.
