This board was created in the dimness of time, somewhere in the Mesopotamian basin, when clay tablets were still in use to record the messages, and editing required a knife to peel away the previous message layer. It was subsequently lost when Rome, the great civilizer, invaded and destroyed all other civilizations it encountered.
The board next appeared in Egypt, where it was excavated by archaeologists attached to Napoleon's famous expedition (1803) in search of a good soft drink. It was returned to Paris and achieved some celebrity before the Parisians discovered its preferred language of discussion was English. The board was then tossed in the Seine.
It next surfaced in the Netherlands, a strange, small, indefinable myth of a land, somewhere to the west of the wind, and covered with tulips. Several search parties from august and scholarly institutions were sent to recover the board, *but none of them was ever heard from, again.* This was the beginning of the Blair Witch legend, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.
Why and how the board has shown up in virtual space will have to remain a mystery until its current owner and demi-archon, Buck Satan, chooses to reveal his sources of power. And given Buck's power, I wouldn't ask too loudly, if I were you.
