Yes, I have been involved in many amatuer films in school as I am friends with a possible up-and-coming cameraman or director hopeful. I am always the one willing to help my friends, so, of course, I say yes to whatever part he wants to give me. Eventually, my acting "ability" was picked up by another group of friends and chose to use me in further films...

April 2001: "Cain and Abel: Cain's Day" A Meade-Yuen Production

This is a story of Cain's perspective on that fateful day in the Bible. The point was to make Cain look like an innocent. The only way to do this is to show he was weak...or how shall I put it? Well, helpless...a bumbling fool? Who played Cain? Well you know....

Well Cain is portrayed as a weakling and a bit fruity, too, actually...and he gets pushed around by Abel, including getting thrown to the ground after smelling flowers, and getting beaten by a flying twig. All ends when Cain defends himself by throwing a rock onto Able...

October 2001: "The New York Minute" A Meade-Yuen Production

A gangster movie, if you will. I played the mob boss, leader of the rich organization out to dispose a hot-shot detective and protect his goods. But in the end, the mob boss loses more "goods" then originally planned...Every member of the mob was killed off someway at the end of the film. The mob boss, who I played, got to be disposed as getting hit...well, where the sun dont shine, too hard. We had to do multiple shots and closeups of my face as the kicks from the detective landed in the *ahem*. But we certainly managed to capture the "moment" well with all them shots.

November 2001: Music Video for "We Didnt Start the Fire" A Freelance Production

Somehow, at the end of the movie, the group convinced me to get tied to a column in the school cafeteria. Dont ask me how they convinced me to do this...Regardless, they managed to use three rolls of tape to tape me to a column. And managed to get it all on film. For 35 minutes, I was either being tied or was stuck to the poll in the cafeteria. All of this voluntary, of course. And of course, we attracted an audience while filming. The climax of the video is when I gather all my strength to break free from the rolls of tape the put me in. And of course I broke free as soon as they threatened to leave me there. Im surprised I broke through all that tape with no help.

So, if you think Ive never been taped to something before @Scayde, youre wrong.

April 2002 "Bullet Time" A Meade-Yuen Production

Once again, I land the position of Mob-boss,named Fat Tony. This time one of the mumbling Italian bosses. However, this time the plot is there is another mob boss with plans of disposing of me. He manages to break into my house while I am sleeping, and I am shot multiple time while sleeping, not a very noble end for a boss...and furthermore, Fat Tony is the only character besides his thugs to bite the dust.

And now I am under contract for:

May 2003 "Never Mime 2" Globus-Hoenich Productions

I am supposed to be in but three minutes of this film. However, I am to dress up in a giant clown costume (Yes, WITH oodles of makeup) and I am supposed to sit in the background whilst drinking beer. I ask, why am I the one to be chosen for such a roll and elaborate costume. Answer: Because I am me.

Yes, this is my resume. And Ive seem to lost my dignity years ago, so whats the point in struggling. May aswell enjoy the ride.

NOTE-I have directed my own amateur music videos, and Ive actually created 2 of them. They are cool, IMO, and I have more ideas, just no equipment or money, and also note I am hardly a victim in any of them

Heh, I can relate Tybs. I’m not going to post any of my roles though (I’ve got to retain some self-respect).

Argh, no way. *Sigh* Okay, I'll throw you a slight bone. A while back a friend of mine required my services for a film he was working on. It was a cheesy political satire set against a fantasy backdrop. It was up to me to do all the puppeteering and creature work. You haven’t lived until you’ve seen me operate an incredibly crude goblin puppet while effecting a bad Nixon impersonation. And that was probably the least embarrassing of my roles. I had better luck in the theatre though.

P.S. I think I still have that scruffy Nixon goblin puppet lying around the house somewhere…

I, for one, would like to see that Nixon goblin puppet. Did you do the required "Your president is not a crook" line when impersonating Nixon?

I'll look around for it. If I can find it I'll post a photo. But trust me, it's bad.

Naturally there was a variation on that. Oh God, I can't believe I brought this up.

Perhaps...but I am nonetheless intrigued.

Hey, whatever it is, it can't be as bad as being taped to a pole for over half an hour.

LOL @ Tybs. Great stuff man http://gamebanshee.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

Mind you, having the police interrupt an amatuer video shoot is the worst thing that could happen. Two to three weeks ago, we were filming a "confrontational" scene in a park when some old lady mistook us for thugs and called the police.

A friend of mine is a media student, and I have little to no shame about doing anything. However public shots are no longer recommended

Mind you the most fun we've ever had is when we did a satire of the old martial arts movies. We had someone jump off a house and then reversed the footage so it looked like he jumped upwards. Amazing what you can do with digital camera's these days.

We just make funky little satires now generally, unless my friend has an assignment to do.

Funny you should mention police....

During the filming of "The New York Minute", we were parked on the roadside, and the scene requires us to stuff the first kill-off of the film into a trunk. He was duct taped as well, as we all were weilding plastic guns, and his partner was covered in bloody makeup. Well this IS a roadside and people passed by. Someone must have called the police via cell phone.

To make matters worse, our school principal passed by while we were filming, and he stopped. He asked "Are those guns?" One of us responded, "C'mon...where can we get REAL guns?" The principal looked at us funny. And then someone yelled out "We've got more too!"....I was just silent shuddering in my head, but also secretly laughing...

Well before long, the police arrived at the scene, with a person duct taped in the trunk, a bunch of plastic guns, and bloody makeup. But one noticed the digital camera and the obvious fact it was a video and he couldnt stop laughing. While the other one was more stern and asked us questions and investigated. He made sure that the kid who got duct taped and stuffed in the trunk was doing this voluntarily, and he said he was of course.

And also note this is October of 2001, a month after 9/11 and the person being stuffed in the trunk was my best friend, also a muslim, so it looked sort of...well...bad to the unknowing eye, those eyes that didnt know all of this was voluntary and just filming...

So they drove away. Shame we didnt get more footage of the cops...could have helped the video pretty well.

@Kayless Sure...divert it back to me.

You guys don't keep outtakes?

We just keep filming and getting the cops on footage would of been pretty cool.

Sure we do. And we often add them on at the end while the credits role, or we just skip them. Most out takes arent really that interesting.

Though they managed to save about all of the 10 or so shots of me getting hit where the sun dont shine.

We stopped the tape when they came, because we had no idea what would happen
