Male and female forum population

I wanted to know if it's just an impression or are there really more female posters here at GB than on other forums? Please 'vote' your gender so I might get an idea on the population over here. 
I've often got the impression that on your average forum, most posters are male, with only a minority of female posters. Does anybody have an explanation why this is so? Are we women only less interested in games, computers, or why else? Or am I totally wrong and it's just that men are more 'visible' on the forums?
