| | | M:TG Online Ok I wanna reach out there and ask, does anyone on the SYM boards play Magic the Gathering online? Or just the card game IRL?
Because I used to when It first came out, I remember my decks seven or eight years ago..
The thing is I got wasted one night and signed onto the online version, paid and get a basic deck. I have been playing a bunch of games and damn am I addicted. I wanna buy more and more cards... Its fun as hell.
PROBLEM is I dont know what cards are worth and even remember how to set up a deck properly. Now I know when Starwars Online or Warcraft online comes I will stop playing/paying for MTGO but I think for now I really wanna get into it...
Is anyone else into this addicting game.
(btw, Go EATER OF THE DEAD my old fav card)

| | | oh.. I've recieved nothing but warm welcomes.. I have even gotten games with people for them just to show me the usage of all these new tricks "Flashback, Madness, etc". Also they dont kill me let me live and try out my deck etc. I guess when they here I used to play back in the day its kinda like helping out an old newb or something hehe.
I love this game its fun to play because of all the different combo's.. its like drawn out poker... takes longer and you have to think more.

| | | Used to play it every night - then, once Wizards of the Coast started releasing several new sets a year as well as custom decks, I quit for a long time. Now, I only play it occasionally. I could look up my notes on building a 2-color deck, if I remember to look em up after work.

| | | IMO, Microprose missed their big chance with M:TG online. They had a decent interface, and good AI in their standalone game. (Among others, Sid Meier worked on it.) But they didn't release the product with the multiplayer component. It came out a year later. By then, MT:G interest was already abating. And they never bothered fixing the rules problems with the standalone AI.
