And there is a thing called "Deformation", and even lycra will not turn to its original form if you stretch it too much, or heat it. So you cant wash clothes with lycra over 30 degrees -we use celcius thermometer here- or they will deform.

Now I have a moral dilemma, should I follow my instincts and see women as mates or should I respect them as equals? Can one do either of these?

I don't wear jeans, though. I honestly have no clue what the pants I am wearing now are made of 
EDIT: A quick check reveals they are 100% cotton. Now I know.
And knowing is half the battle!! |

My mother hates 100% cotton garments, not least because in the old days, they had to be ironed to look half-decent, and also because she had to pick cotton when she was a child, which created a natural aversion to it.
Cotton can be treated to make it "wrinkle free" and a bit more colorfast, but cotton blended with polyester nearly always looks better (unless you're talking about really cheap clothes that look horrible no matter what they're made out of). Mercerized cotton is good for socks and underwear, but I don't remember ever seeing any jeans made out of mercerized cotton.
Jeans have a long history of appealing to people who want them to look faded and worn out, and cotton fits the bill perfectly.  |

| | Damn, these look good like this... they're fairly new, so thay haven't been worn out at all yet as far as I can see, still as black as the day I bought them. I have an older pair of similar ones, and they do seem to have lost a bit of their colour... ah, well  |

It makes me feel quite ridiculous, itīs heavy, and when thereīs a lot of wind you look like a sailing boat gone wild. For that matter, I like the lycra that Leviīs puts into some of their menīs jeans because a non-elastic skinny jean needs zippers on the bottom of the pipes to be able to put them on, and I donīt like the look of that. Plus Iīm exceptionally skilled at breaking, tearing or otherwise doing stupid things with zippers so I try to avoid the things wherever possible. God bless button-up pants
