Tried to search if this has been discussed before, but as it seems that the search feature doesn't work (again) and I didn't see any discussion in few first pages, I decided to start a new thread.

Last.fm – The Social Music Revolution?
This site is basically a site which offers plugind to at least Windows Mediaplayer (not sure if to other players at well), which will storage the information of what music are you listening. It records the track, artist and genre to database, and you can then get different kind of charts in the website to which show weekly, monthly, yearly and overall cores of how much you have listened different artists and tracks.
Besides above the site also gives you recommendations of similiar artists to the ones you have listened, so you can find new artists similiar to your taste.
I found it interesting to actually see what tracks and artist I listen most and which least.
Oh, and if someone has registered or is going to register, you can always send your nicknames here so we can link each other and see what different members listen.
