Can't wait to watch this one. They make so few movies like Galdiator and the like these days. I am also waiting for good old Alexsander the Great.

Well, like Gladiator, Ridley Scott is behind the wheel, which is promising. As long as they forego the usual horrible inaccuracies, the movie should be great.

Yeah, I'm still waiting for the special edition Pocahontas with all the Rape and Pillage scenes in it.

Ridley Scott is a master of the camera. That trailer glimsped some amazing footage (not the battle scenes).

I don't care about historical accuracy I want passion, melodrama and a ridiculous but stirring ending

Aren't we all missing the point- this film is going to be awful purely because Orlando Bloom is in it- now there is a face in dire need of a good slapping.

There again the fact that Ridley is directing might just redeem it, maybe...

I would say the exact same thing about another overrated male actor, Ben Afleck; I just hate him, I don't know why though.

because he has no redeeming features whatsoever? because there's something so indescribably smug about his big face? because he was in pearl harbour?

I just don't like him as an actor, I don't like most of his movies.

Then watch Changing Lanes. Ben Affleck proves himself to have ability in acting in that superb film.

Actors like Ben Affleck and Orlando Bloom are stereotyped as being the "pretty boys" in a movie. Just as Jim Carrey is stereotyped as the "funny face" actor - until you see his excellent performance in The Truman Show or Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. I'm not a fan of Bloom, but I'm hoping he can pull off a deep role some day.

I didn't bother to even watch that movie, I wanted to but changed my mind. I don't like how hollywood clasifies actors like pretty boys and what not, tis another reason Why I dislike him.

CM you are advertising some horrible hollywood crap that probably will do nothing but being sentimental over a dirt farmer defending Jerusalem from the Evil Arabs. I really expected more from you. ( , but only a very small one)

Well duh now that i am in the US i must act like an american I actually am interested to see how Salaudin is protrayed as the man is more of a diplomat than a warrior. From my limited knowledge of islamic history he is more reknowned for his diplomacy and rule of law and order than military battles.

You are your own worst enemy CM.

Yes, I would be interested too. In sweden Saladin is mostly known for his benevolence actually.
