BAGHDAD, Iraq (April 12) - The doors of the town house opened to reveal a playboy's fantasy straight from the 1960s: mirrored bedroom, lamps shaped like women, airbrushed paintings of a topless blonde woman and a mustached hero battling a crocodile.

Troops thought it was the home of Saddam Hussein's mistress, though on the wall and in the bedroom were photos of the Iraqi president and a woman who appeared to be his wife. The company commander suspected they had found one of the Iraqi leader's many safe houses.

This must have been Saddam's love shack,'' said Sgt. Spencer Willardson of Logan, Utah.

I suspect levity is inappropriate, here, but I can't resist pointing out that we may have finally found the perfect reason to destroy Hussein, albeit late in the day. On the evidence presented above, the man could have been sought by the Taste Police on five continents.

All that's missing is the table lamp formed like a busty women, complete with breast bulbs--except that I imagine this one's already in Donald Rumsfeldt's collection.

OMG! pacifism be damned! Next they'll find wide-lapelled suits, bell bottoms and broad, hideously-coloured ties...

But we'll truly *know* Hussein must, at all costs, be apprehended by the taste police if the troops discover life-sized, nude posters of Tammy Faye Baker, Oprah Winfrey and Monica Lavinsky...

Of course... it could also be Cher.. in which case.. Weasel...watch out!

@Fable, hope that is not too spammy, I just couldn't resist

Not at all, @Dragon Wench. Any mention of Weasel, Cher, Oprah and Hussein in one post obviously has thematic consistency.

If Hussein survived the invasion, I suspect he'll be a lounge act in Las Vegas, soon.

I can see the Marquee now:

Wayne Newton...Tom Jones...Liza Minelli...

Saddam Hussein.

We joke, but there is a certain ironic ring of truth here...

Expect him to do a duo-act with Don Rickles, anytime, now.

Oy vay!

Logic leads one down a certain path...a rather disturbing one, too. You mention thematic consistency. Here's thematic consistency for you:

Saddam Hussein, Professional Wrestling promoter. Zounds!

I can see from the replies, most here don't find the refined taste of Saddam and I, to their liking.

Do you know how much of my heart I put into the mirrored bathroom?? Do you not know of the time consuming hours I spent finding the pink and yellow (Sand Briar to the refined taste) colors!
