Just wanted to say .....

..... that I'm freeking nervous and excited about my first day at my new job which starts in about 1½ hour

Time to show my brilliance to the world .... well, after I learn a new programming language or four, new techniques, new responsiblitities, new .... everything - all wrapped into the setting of getting to know new people in a new location.

Luckily - it is friday

Good luck! Keep us updated on how things are going. Starting a new job is challenging, and that's exactly what you need at this point.

Well - so far nothing but some introduction.......

But soon I'll get my first case to start working on from monday. Need to build a webpage using their (our) CMS. Dunno much about what and how yet.... but now the initial "fear" has calmed down.

At least until I get my case/assignment.......

Luck at your new job, Xan. It will be nerve-wracking for a bit, but I'm sure you'll do well. You're too competent and mature to do otherwise.

Yeah - I know

I'm sure I'll hack it and convice them about my brilliance....although it seems extreemly difficult just at the moment.

Everything is programmed in .NET which I've only worked with via C#, so I have to pick up ASP.NET and VB.NET amongst other things.
And I only know "ASP" and "VB" which are ealier implementations - so similar, but still different.

uuuuhhhh - scary. But at least now I get paied for it (for now )

Well - would be hard for a webdevelopment company to not have access to the Internet
