To all us fat, overfed Americans, happy "we slaughtered the native peoples and took their lands and now celebrate the occasion with a ritual sacrifice and pie" day.
Or, Happy Thanksgiving.

| | | Thank you, Almighty, for the paid Holidays.
Thank you, Lady Luck, for my good fortunes; I am still alive an kicking and able to shop and play games and live in a fancy house while three fourth of the world cannot afford bread for their children.
Thank you, Game Banshee, for the good time I had reading old flaming threads.
Thank you, everybody, for reading this.

Or, Happy Thanksgiving. | OR if you prefer, Happy "Lets slaughter a fowl and eat until we are too bloated to move" day. That seems to fit Thanksgiving perfectly

Can't say I ever understood Thanksgiving, since I'm not going to praise any deity for what I've achieved, anymore than I'm going to damn any deity for what someone else hasn't achieved. Luck, effort, health, environment, circumstances of birth, habit, goals, and more, all make the difference between Ronald Reagan and the two homeless guys who died, sleeping in the park one frozen Christmas Eve, across from the White House.
If you want to think about anything today, think about 1) charitable work you should be doing, 2) dictatorships you should be working to overthrow, and that includes economic dictatorships, too.
Give thanks to whatever you believe in that you have the ability to help somebody else out. Fair enough?

I'm thankful I didn't have to cook today, and for the sake that I got to go out and get wasted with my little brother, cousin and some old buddies last night. Screw everything else. Oh! I am also thankful for the imbecile in a badge that didn't ruin my night last night.
