| | It's official now! Some of you may already know this, especially if you have been posting in either Sterwick-campaign or Spam Factory. But I decided to make official announcement also.
At the beginning of January, there starts a period when I will not be able to come here, excluding few random occasions. This period will be about a year long. The reason is that I have gotten to age when I have to have my millitary service.
During next year, since I'll only be home at several weekends and some other specail random occasions, I'm just unable to come here in GB.
But I'll be here till the beginning of January, but unsure how much actually, since my basketball is taking every bit of my spare time, as is studies. And I'll return here as soon as my service is over, which would be at the very end of year 2006 or at the very beginning of year 2007.
So, I wish you all very pleasant year, and especially to follow members:
Ravager, Juni, Chus, Hill, DJV, Lestat, Demortis, Slade, Magrus, and also everybody else who I have get known during this time I have spent here.
I hope I see you all after I have done my duty!

Take it with an open mind and spirit, and you can learn so incredible much about yourself while doing something like this. I learned so very much about myself in the 10 months I was in the army volenteered conscript. Both physical but especially also mentally and psycological. |

| | I've already given my message three times, but I guess I can do the fourth, albeit shorter version.
Hope you have a learning experience in the army, Kipi. Sad to hear you are going, but good to hear it's not for good.

I bequeath unto ye a years supply of assorted Gland Cream Inc. products to sustain you while you are supposed to survive eating the food from the government.
BTW, take a fes extra vats of Gland Cream, spread the word and cure the sick of the army, theyll put you in charge of the all sick and injured people, just feed em some cream and theyll be up and about in no time. |

| | As with Hill, I've said this before, but it deserves to be said again...
Good luck and make the most of it, and I hope you can get as much out of one year's service as one year of spam... at least this way your natural instinct to pervert all will diminish .
And remember, to quote an old jedi, feel, don't think, use your insticts .
Good luck, and best wishes. |

| | | Take pride in what you are about to do. Do your best to excel at it.
In January I'll have spent 3 years in the Canadian forces, so here's my advice to you.
1) Never trust an officer, they are career motivated.
2) Find a good buddy and stick with him for life.
3) Never backstab anyone. Take one for the team. Take ten thousand for the team. The wheel never stops turning.
4) Keep your head down, your mouth shut, your eyes open and your stomach full. It will make your itme in the army much more enjoyable.
5) Offer no excuses for a job poorly done.
6) Seek no praise for a job done well.
7) Lead by example and not by commands.
8) Stay away from vehicles, machinegunners, and radio men in combat. They are primary targets.
9) If you have to go point, go slow, take your time. If your taking too long, let some other fool go first.
10) If you come under fire, drop, roll, wait.
11) When your patrol picks a rendevous site, memorize what it looks like from ALL SIDES. That big tree looks very different north to south.
12) When you get time off, take it.
13) When in doubt, rack out.
14) It's better to be lucky then good, but you can control being good.
15) On throwing hand grenades - just throw it. Don't get fancy.
If you want more PM me, I think I've gone on long enough.
Best of Luck.
