I've been pondering ( ) lately and found that I don't know why things are so quite here...... the massive decrease in posts per day from Tyb might also explain it..... but I really don't know...

Same here. Hope we can but i doubt it. SYM seems to have split off into 2 forums. DCI is where all the younger crowd hangs out at with massive spam.
SYM seems to be the whole older crowd and discussion place. I am gonna try to read and post in both forums. But i doubt it. I seem to have missed alot, but anyway.
Forums split, just depends where you feel more comfortable to post....

I actually like the uncontrolled part. It is within the realm of good taste for men that is. I cant really see any female feeling totally comfortable with that many horny teenagers and early 20ers
This place is nice for a cool calm chat or even a discussion. Of course if i ever need advice i am coming here. I guess it is just the age difference nothing more....

I think that there's actually like atleast 1 poster over there that are femail (AC?) but the majority is for sure young testosterone
But I do hope that the taverns i this place will become active again...... it is kinda dull without them....

I agree it has become dull....but what is that we can do when the posting population is cut by half.
At kaylesses forum you have atleast 50% of SYM. And even then SYM consisted of what 40 core posters and some 40 guys who posted once in a while?
The core spammers at at DCI. The oldies are around the ones who posted once in a while. Majority of the older posters have very hectic lives to spam. Plus it seems people use these chatting problems alot more, so no need for spamming in taverns.
So do we shut the taverns down or get very large MSN ICQ conversations going?
Like i have 31 on SYMers on my msn. But i think i speak to only 2 or 3 of them on a daily basis. Time zones as well as availability when i am on line. Heck i even think i have you....

Regarding the decrease in posting at SYM, I think that many SYM:ers socialise IRL or via ICQ/MSN instead now.

has anyone given any thought to setting up an IRC channel? I think it might actually help bring the community closer together, as with MSN/Yahoo most chats are one on one, and there's no one for someone who's not already in to join the conversation.
p.s. my msn handle is vicsun_76@hotmail. com. I already have around 15 symers, but the more the merrier so add me if you havn't already
