Well i need to let off some steam, even after talking to my sisters. Anyway i am fine after a 9 hour flight delay. But lets start from the beginning.
Going to Pakistan. As no airlines from Europe fly to Islamabad anymore, i had to take PIA - Pakistan International Airlines - from Paris after 6 years. I thought hey i guess after 6 years they should be good. Well i was wrong.
My ticket for PIA i got from paris said dep at 5 pm. So i took a Swiss flight to Paris and arrived at 2. I went to the transit desk and ask where the PIA counter is, the lady takes my ticket punches a few numbers and tells me my flight is closed for boarding. I am shocked and just stand their mouth open. It turns out the flight is for 2:30 and not 5 pm. So i run grab a bus and stuff. Get there. Give the manager a talking too he will never forget in the most diplomatic of ways and finally get on the flight. Only to hear it is delayed 2 hours. Oh yeah they lose my lugage on top of that. But i get it back after 3 days. Somehow it stayed in Paris....
On the way back that is when i posted. My flight to Dubai was at 3 am. It left at 10. My connecting flight to Zurich was at 9 am. I missed it. So i was at the Airport in Pakistan from 12 am to 10 am. My parents were so dead tired. But they stayed even when i asked them to go home and rest. Anyway in Dubai what a rush. I couldnt get anybody to help me out at all. Luckily i have good ears and i pick up the letters LX (Swiss airline code number) and i skip lines, follow these 2 other guys and force them to give me a boarding pass after the swiss guy got his. So all good right? Yeah i thought the same.
I show up in zurich. No Luggage. Nothing, no bags no nothing and i fly to the US tomorrow to see family. So once again i carry the clothes on my back as the only things i bring with me. The luggage to Pakistan contained only gifts. I took only what i wore, a sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers. I am doing the same tomorrow. I guess i could go shopping again for clothes in the US, but shopping for clothes twice in a week? Good god. That would make me a woman.
