Hi @ the SYM mob !
Since CM and Tybbs turned this into something like confession week, I think now it's MY turn to own up.
So here goes:
I tried to stay out of SYM. With no particular reason. I tried to cease posting for a single day (yesterday). Not because I was busy. Just to see if I still could.
And I couldn't. I started to lurk around around noon, and shortly afterwards I had to post.
Now I think I have an addiction problem, and what makes it difficult for me is that I've always been able to keep a lid on my obsessions (Marijuana, Alcohol, Sex , you name it, I tried it...).
Do you think it's serious ? Have I turned into an internet junkie ? (I'm nearly exclusively online from work...at home I find better things to do   )
Or will it pass ?

SYMmers Anonymous, this will be... We're all addicted  For example, I have a lecture in less than an hour, it takes about 40 minutes to get there, unless I hurry, and what am I doing with my free 15 minutes? Yep, you guessed it - Spam.
However this may not be very encouraging coming from someone who has confessed their past addiction to Citrus Polos...

Been there, done that, downloaded the picture of a can of spam and went straight back to mindless gibberish posting There are some things that are simply not worth fighting against. Spam is one of them.

Oh man. I know the feeling. If I have 5 minutes before class, I just jump online.
Also last Saturday, I also tried to stay offline, but well, I still showed up at 4:30 and 9:00 and SPAMmed all night.

There have been times when I bug out of here for a few to several days at a time but I always come back. Is it addiciton, no. I just like it here and the people within.
Tell me Beldin, are you addicted to rising your post count or checking out what's new, what people are talking about, dropping a quick line to people who know you here and like what you have to say.
Do you consider hanging out with your friends an addicition? The only difference here is you haven't met anyone face to face but you've certainly gotten to know people. If it were as easy as getting in my car and driving a quick jaunt to europe, I'd do it as there are many of you I'd like to drink with. No talking, just drinking.
But it doesn't work out so easy. Hell, the coveted and ever desired Vivien lives a mere 20 minutes from me and I've still not met her although that may have to do with my unpredictable bathing patterns.

Spam is evil, vile, and repulsive. But Tavern frequenting, ahh, now there is a pastime worthy of the Gods As Ned said, I'd love to hook up with some of the people here and get blitzed, but, as KY is in the infernal regions, I can't, so, I meet them here, and the company is greatly appreciated.
Watch out though, BS has a window of opportunity coming up for a long trip. Be wary, be watchful, yeah, even be drunken in your anticipation, for someday, BS may be coming to a town near you
