-Just a quick note to let you know my wife and I have not started any diplomatic incidents, and are alive and well in Maastricht, the Netherlands. We're splitting our three weeks' vacation between here and Amsterdam. It's beautiful, with plenty of fine architecture to view; and we're exhausting ourselves every day, which brings to mind the WWII comment of common British folk that the only three things wrong with Yanks was that they were over paid, over-sexed, and over here; except that we're not over here, meaning there, but over here, meaning here. If you follow my meaning.

And in any case, I hope you are all well. I'll try to check in in a day or so. When I get back, I'll investigate setting up a webpage, so I can upload some better examples of our terrible photographic work. (It's just a cheapie camera. I want to get a good one, and do black and white photos, when I get a chance.)

My wife didn't believe me when I said Amsterdam was heavily touristed. LOL! That's like not being believed when you say NYC is large and busy, or Scayde likes steak. The statement pales in comparison before the truth. Even now, off season, the tourists are as numerous as cheese mites. We, of course, don't count as tourists, because we're quieter, we don't do touristy things, and we're too silly for that, and Proud of It! Anyway, signing off, now. Love to all.

Glad you are having great time.

No one has yet to break the board, and we haven't seen any punch up so far. Everything have been taken care of in the SYM... I think. I'm not sure as I've been away for a few days. Anyway, this place is still here and, judging by the fact Buck hasn't shown up, there's no major incidents.

Enjoy while you can. Speak to you soon.

Make sure to have a Wieckse Witte on me. That's the local brand of "white/pale" beer for you uncultivated lot.

Have a nice trip.

LOL, the opposite should have been demonstrated quite clearly by now, Amsterdam is indeed a heavily touristed city. I'll be there in a couple of days, looking forward meeting you and not at all looking forward to the EU-meeting *yawn*

Thanks to all. Glad to hear all is well, and that Weasel hasn't made a triumphant return and reduced you all to the status of sniveling servants. As for Denmark: I'd love to go there, but it appears to be among the most expensive places to vacation in Europe...! Not to mention the plane fare from the US. We considered walking, but there's this large body of water in the way. In any case, our regards to the land of Carl Nielsen and Valdemar Atterdag, who gave constitutional monarchy to the world. Maybe in some future year...

CE, we'll be seeing you this Sunday, the laws of time and chance, willing.

Rob-hin: your clogs? Were those the black ones with feather boa trimming? I think we sent them to Mitterand.

Today, we do indeed the touristy deed and go to Aachen, right on the border in Germany. There we will see Charlemagne's tomb and all his gold, and hopefully get reimbursed for the $15 the louse lost to me in a poker game more than 1000 years ago and welched on. "Pay when I get back from beating the Ostrogoths," my right buttock!

Talk to ya all, soon.
