Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends!

So, what are you guys thankful for and what do you have for dinner?

Thankful that the polar bears didn't invade their homes this year either?

lol thanks for the nice thread

Personally, I have rather a lot to be thankful for. After considerable uncertainty over the past several years my life is finally much more stable.
Regarding dinner, neither my partner nor I are geographically close to our respective families so we are just quietly hanging out and enjoying the long weekend.
Though, things did get interesting last night when a massive power cut hit our area for two hours around 5:45 PM. We ended up having to go out for dinner..
I'm just pleased we were not trying to cook a huge turkey meal.

I took my dogteam down south a ways to the great oil fields and lumberjack camps called Calgary to visit the parent's igloo and fishing shack out on the ice, along with my brother. We had to fight off a grizzly bear on the way there, luckily there were two of us and we had that bear in a half nelson in no time!

I'm thankful that the snow has held off this year, usually we get our first little bit of snow in September here!

Of course, family harvests were good this year and the soybeans came off without a hitch once the rain let up.

Got a good homecooked turkey dinner and enough leftovers to last a week -- the turkey will be decimated within two days, though. Not only wouldn't it stay fresh but the stuff is too good to let sit there.

I'm particularly pleased that I saw many old friends this weekend, and despite distance, friendships remain.

On more serious note, the weather was nice. I could use some snow though.
