As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've just started my first Real Job, working as a live TV subtitler, based in West London. As a result, next month I shall be escaping from the oppressive regime of living with my parents, and moving to a little flat in Chiswick. So really, everything's going swimmingly. 
But wait, there is slightly more of a point to this thread. When I went to interview for this job, I had to do a typing test, and also a current affairs knowledge test.  Now, if I had never come to Gamebanshee, I wouldn't have spent all those years of spam and instant messaging honing my typing speed. If I never lurked around those political discussion threads, my current affairs knowledge may have been significantly smaller. 
So I think we should all take a moment to thank Mr B. Satan Esq. for doing his little bit to make the world a better place. Bravo, sir!

Well that was unexpected. Here I was viewing the title of this thread as another reason to spam and you spout out a semi-serious post 
If it wasn't for Buck and Co. I wouldn't of had the logic to annoy my friends by placing smilies after almost every sentence, whether it be in an SMS, email or IM conversation.

lol! congrats Georgi, and glad to hear you finally found the flat in addition to the job!
*grin* I know what you mean about the typing speed. Since joining GB, a few other forums and plenty of practice at IMs I think my typing ability is actually faster than that of the woman who fills the role of receptionist at work Though... admittedly my accuracy does not necessarily mirror the speed I had to laugh when once an OL friend whom I had not seen for some time shared an icq room with me and remarked, "your typing has improved."  
And indeed, more on topic, the world would be a far more perilous place were it not for Game Banshee thwarting the maniacal from more dangerous pursuits... Just imagine... owing to the recreational hobbies of Ned and BS entire flocks of sheep would be traumatised and scarred for life... Fable would have carried out wholescale plans to corrupt the planet's youth... Scayde would have established global colonies of male harems....
The list is endless and probably too horrific to even imagine...
