This seemed the best place to stick this:
A friend and I have recently started a forum for roleplaying.
We have a focus on cooperative, freestyle storytelling. This is not D&D, or the like: There are no stats. The members together contribute to a growing story through character interaction (and often violence

).
For those of you who have never participated in a roleplay like this, and have no idea what I'm talking about, we're basically writing micro-novels with many different authors, each controlling the actions of a character, or a few characters. If you've never tried it, you should check it out.
It's a friendly forum, with loose rules, aside from the obvious ones (like don't be an ass to other people, and be respectful to fellow members). Simply put, the point of the forum is to have fun.
Literacy is greatly appreciated, of course, but we'll also help you improve your writing and roleplaying skills if you need the help. And even in a noncondescending manner! If you have an urge to create epic stories, that's enough for us.
No pressure, either. Made a mistake? Made a
stupid mistake? No problem. Just try not to make the same one again. Make new,
different ones. Variety
is the spice of life, after all.
And the forum isn't dedicated to any one genre either. We'll do many different roleplays in many different settings. Modern, Medieval Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Steampunk, Horror, Superhero, and more. Spellslingers, robots, vampires, mutants, super soldiers, spies, ninja, superheroes, pirates, it's all open for roleplaying, although of course dependent on the roleplay you're posting in. No lazy guns in Medieval, please...
And if you don't see anything you're interested, request a roleplay you
would be interested in, and we'll probably start it! Hell, write your own and send it to us, if you want to, and we'll likely post it. 'Cause we're just cool like that.
I'm tired, I was going to say more, but I think I'll go to bed. I just wanted to get the word out before I did.
So, if the idea of creating and roleplaying a character and, with other awesome people, writing an epic story sounds fun to you, by all means check out Frontier Roleplaying.
