What is the first memory you have of school?
Mine would be a video we used to have to watch, called 'magic, magic E', the whole video revolved around us learning what adding the letter e to the end of a word, did to that word. It was so funny, it had this little jingle and a wizard who flew around the screen

Nippy, I presume you are talking about Moses.
Anyway first memories of school, well I started my primary schiool life in South Africa as I was living over there for about 2 years. 3 days after starting scool at the tender age of 5 I got sent to the principle and got a caining for refusing to learn Africaans (Sp?) as I thought it was pointless to learn a language I would never use.
You see I was even precautious when I was a wee nipper.

| And even Spanish. We have to learn it up here where only .2% of the population speaks Spanish as a first language. Two out of one thousand people. But funny how you meet almost all of them at walmart @_@

| Well spanish is okay since it is a language which is still practiced, Latin however is completely superfulous.

| You really think it is superfulous?
Latin is one of the languages I wish to learn. It is incredible fascinating.

| Well i don't necessarily think it is totally useless, but to force someone to be educated in a language that no one uses in the spoken form seems unconstructive, i find latin interesting in that it is a building block for most spoken languages, but it is basically a dead language

I can't seem to remember. It was like 2000 to 3000 years ago. I can't keep track of time.

@Al Reyes lol! Then you must also be able to speak fluent Latin
My earliest memory was of playgroup, I would be 3 and it was my first day. The handles on all the doors were too high, especially the door I wanted to escape through
