It's very hard to pick just one from six (well, four in fact ), but I chose Ep:6 - RotJ. I like the finishing parts in most of great stories (like LotR), and watching darks side ultimate failure makes my day.

I've always thought "The Empire Strikes Back" was the darkest and most interesting of the films. I thought the character development was at its strongest in that film, probably more due to Irvin Kershner and Gary Kurtz, than Lucas. Still, I've often found the middle act - where we really get to the meat of the plot and the characters - the most interesting and tragic. "Episode 4" was decent, as well. Though, it feels like everyone is really learning the ropes still in that film. "Episode 3" is the best of the newer trilogy, but the acting is still mediocre (to down right bad in places) and the characters lack the "heart" of the original cast.

Huh. To me, I always liked the one that was just called “Star Wars” originally. All others were increasingly bitter disappointments. But I agree with Fable: "Spaceballs" is surely the pinnacle, unless you count “Hardware Wars.”

Return of the Jedi, because most of the movie comprised of a massive battle scene, which is what Star Wars is about IMO.

That's three votes for Spaceballs. Too bad it wasn't included in the poll.

Empire definetly, aldo I rather liked Revenge of the Sith. I dislike Return of the Jedi because of the Ewoks - I hate seeing those criters even more than I hate seeing Jar Jar Binks, thank god for fastforward option .
But I agree, Spaceballs are by far the best, too bad they are not included.

Easily "Empire Strikes Back" not because of the fabled "Luke...I am your father" bit but more as to after watching the first for the first time, I didn't understand it, but then the second helped it make so much more sense.
Now the WORST episode, hehe, Phantom Menace. Coulda done way better.

Yeah, in The Phantom Menace if you watch real closely at the begining when Obi and Qui-Gon are on the diplomatic mission to the trade federation.... you can see Obi's stunt double clearly when they fight the drodekas...*sigh*

(the script, for starters...)

As of now, I am officially in the "we must go wookie and rip Jar Jar's arms off" club. :P Good god he was annoying.
Ahh, but seriously, there are two things I love about star wars. I like the story and everything about it, don't get me wrong, but 2 things made my life complete with this movie.
1. Jar Jar did NOT speak throughout EP3. Huzzah.
2. I have a dvd of Triumph the insult comic dog and got done watching the star wars Ep2 bit. So funny. I won't say anything from it, but I HIGHLY reccomend anyone to get this if they like to see star wars get owned.

Ep1-
-The sudden random war. Kinda irrelavent to the movies.
-Jar Jar.
-Queen Padme's introduction and resegnation was quite rushed.
Ep2-
-No development of Anakin. We need to see how he became an average kid to an arrogant teen.
-Jar Jar doesn't have the intelligence to become something political.
Ep3-
Nothing. Change absoloutely nothing. It was decent as it is.
Ep4-
-A bit more background on Luke. Kinda dry up till 5.
-Along with all the others, leave the graphics alone.
Ep5-
Nothing. Perfect, and I mean perfect.
Ep6-
-With all the other star wars episodes, the death of Darth Sidious was kinda lame. Then again, not much else you can do to spice up such a wonderful finale.
