I'm off to a late start with the Halloween avs this year, however in the spirit of spookiness What's everyones favorite horror movies? They can range from the silent classic Nosferatu starring Max Schreck to the campy but cool Rocky Horror Picture Show. From the psychological "The Haunting" (The original, not the awful remake a few years ago) to the gory Evil Dead.
Some of my favs:
Eyes of Fire
The Company of Wolves
Nosferatu
The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (the silent original)
The Haunting
The Changeling
The Conqueror Worm
The Abominable Dr. Phibes/Dr. Phibes rises again
Carnival of Souls
White Zombie
Dracula
The Wolfman
The Mummy
Frankenstein (and Young Frankenstein )
Suspiria
Terror at the Opera
Wolfen
Night of the Living Dead
The Evil Dead/Army of Darkness
Alien
Cat People (The original)
and many others that are momentarily eluding me

Don't forget the original Friday the 13th; much like Rocky, its legacy was ruined by the plethora of bad sequels, but the original Friday the 13th was pretty good (plus, Kevin Bacon got hacked to death).

I knew I forgot some things
Rosemary's Baby
The first Halloween
Ingmar Bergmans The Magician (not traditional horror but well worth a look)

I don't generally like horror movies, but here are a few I like:

1. Repulsion
2. Gaslight
3. Vertigo

Those I liked as a kid, but I haven't seem them as an adult so I am not sure what I would think today: The Spiral case (the one from 1946), Psycho, Someone's watching me (the one from 1978),

I've heard Silence of the Lambs categorized as horror before. I don't think I would personally consider it horror, but it and Red Dragon are two of my favorite movies.

Recent movies

The last movie to scare me was Childs Play with Chucky.
My favorite is Scream although it isn't very scary.
Freddy vs. Jason was gorily entertaining but I wouldn't watch it again.

Barney: The Movie...

Seriously though I don't watch many horror movies (I'm a wee bit excitable )....but when I was younger "The X-Files" always spooked me a little.

"The Ring" had me worried until no 'signs' appeared....

"Identity" was the latest "horror" movie I saw, but it's not really a horror film so much as it is a thriller.

Event Horizon. Still scares the heck outta me.

Braindead. A Peter Jackson "splatterfest". Not really a horror movie, but close enough. The most memorable scene involves an electric lawnmower and 300 liters of blood....
