Anyone else than me following the Eurovision Song Contest from Estonia?!? Only been a couple of songs and I've already got an awful headache... Well, well....let's see what Swedish "Afro-dite" can do...

Hell the greeks were the worse with the Borg!
It was attack of the clones all over again.
I have your password right here.
They sucked big time, though the russians weren't that bad.
I actually liked that song.
Too bad they are a boy band.
They have no future!

Now halfway through... It's horrible! (Well, I wasn't exactly expecting anything else, of course...) Haven't heard a single good song - the only artist being able to sing at all has been the British girl, IMO.

I was away for the weekend, so on the 3 1/2 hour drive back I picked it up a bit. It was terrible. Not a single original note in the whole thing. Plus, when I got home, I saw the three slovinian transvestites- they look terrible. A really bad show with awful hosts.

I only turned it on less than an hour ago, so I only saw the clips of the songs for the phone vote, but they were all pretty bad... I liked the Belgian one... the closest thing to a rock band, far better than all those terrible ballads Yeah, Jessica Garlick can sing, but the song is so dull!

I didn't even know it was on, I never watch the Eurovision either My muscial taste encompasses Renaissance masters as well as rap, but I'm afraid schlager music is not included.

hehehe they got what they deserve. Actually there was a real mess here about this song, they even said that the competition for the condidate song was fake. it seems they were right.

And Cyprus scored 6th place!

Not in the slightest! But I'm delighted to see it's happening, again. Being an American, and seeing the wonderful President and administration that was chosen for us by our Supreme Court, I tend to get depressed. I look to Europe, and watch how nations reasonably convinced of the values of multilateralism prosper and deal fairly with one another. Then, the Eurovision Song Contest comes along, and helps lessen that national inferiority complex. May it live forever!

Latvia won? Good for them - congratulations I hope the song was not too bad, since it will most likely be played a lot now.

LOL Well, I was actually quite happy to see Slovakia win the World cup of ice hockey, since it means a lot to these small, new European countries

Regarding your president I still fail to understand how 25% of the population could vote for him volontarily, but then again, lots of people voted for the European ultra-rights also, which has recently been discussed here at SYM.

I read in the paper that the leader of the Swedish Liberal Party had a TV-debate with Denmarks ultra-right politican Pia Kjaersgaard, who recently critisied Sweden for being "Balkanised" (do we recognise this from somewhere ) and saying that Sweden immigration policy will lead to "mass rapes, criminalisation" and that she wants to close the bridge between Sweden and Denmark I can't believe this woman is actually in the Danish parlament This extreme anti-immigrant stance is even worse considering Denmark is the next country for the chairmanship in the EU.
